  Tampa Death Fest returns to the legendary Brass Mug for its 8th annual edition on September 4th and 5th, 2026, delivering one of the strongest underground death‑metal weekends in Florida.

  This year’s lineup fuses rising underground brutality with veteran icons. Friday, September 4th will erupt with Syndicate, Eroguro Phantasmagore, Homicyde, Unholy Disciple, Leprosy, Sacrilous, Viogression, and Foreverless.   Nasty Savage is a thrash metal band from Brandon, Florida, that became well known for the wild and theatrical stage antics of frontman “Nasty” Ronnie Galetti. During the band's early years, Galetti gained a reputation for his high-energy performances, which famously included smashing television sets over his head onstage. The group's debut album, featuring the standout track “XXX,” was recorded at Progressive Music in Tampa and helped secure a deal with the influential metal label Metal Blade Records. Nasty Savage released four albums between 1983 and 1989 before disbanding.   Fresh off the release of their debut album "This Is The Way," West Coast extreme‑metal force Gravemass has announced a run of Western Canadian tour dates for summer 2026. The trek, appropriately titled “This Is The Way Tour 2026,” will see the band unleash their ferocious live assault across British Columbia and Alberta from July 31st to August 8th (dates listed below).

  The tour follows the eruption of "This Is The Way," a debut forged from decades of West Coast metal lineage. Featuring members of Zimmers Hole, Punch Drunk, 3 Inches of Blood, Revocation, Just Cause, West of Hell, Savannah, Process, Subversion, and The Golers, Gravemass is the convergence of long‑standing forces within Vancouver’s extreme‑music underground.

  Guitarist Mayan Hate, who wrote the album’s music in an intense two‑month burst, describes the project as a natural evolution among lifelong friends.

  “We’re all West Coast metal heads who’ve known each other for decades. I wrote the music between breaks in other projects and showed it to Lorde Heathen. He immediately wanted in. From there, we recruited the rest of the band, guys we’ve all known forever.”

  Western Canada’s underground metal community will once again come together this summer as Decimate Metalfest returns to the Millet Agriplex Arena on June 26 and 27, 2026, in Millet, AB. What began as a grassroots gathering of heavy music fans has grown into a weekend-long celebration where heavy music, independent arts, and community come together in rural Alberta, welcoming fans, artists, and families of all ages.

  DMF announces its recent lineup changes, with RIOT CITY replacing original headliners Glyph, who unfortunately had to bow out of this year's festival. Also joining this year's lineup are Calgary youth band Pollux and Edmonton's Kill the Eclipse, adding to the already stacked lineup featuring The Convalescence, Squidhammer, Famous Strangers, Cries of Blood, alongside a diverse roster of local and regional performers. Overall, 26 performing acts will take the stage over the two days, including touring artists, Canadian metal bands, youth performers, a featured DJ, and specialty entertainers.

  Friday evening launches the festival with a powerful night of heavy music, with The Convalescence and Squidhammer co-headlining the night. Saturday expands into a full-day festival experience featuring Riot City headlining alongside up-and-coming bands from Western Canada, youth artists, live performers, and interactive entertainment. The second day also includes a performance by Kill the Eclipse, the “Fundraiser Band,” which is a rotating act selected from bands that participated in DMF's fundraising events throughout the year, highlighting the festival’s community-driven spirit. With top-notch production, high-quality sound, professional staging, and access to convenient local amenities in Millet, AB, the festival ensures an unforgettable experience for fans and families.

Canada’s raunchiest rock‑and‑roll carnivores, Sons of Butcher, have unleashed "Skids, a brand‑new four‑song EP and their first batch of fresh cuts since 2020. Released today, March 27th, 2026, the EP arrives alongside the new music video for “Denim Dreamin’,” the follow‑up to their first single “Makin’ Bacon.”

  Known for fusing vulgar absurdist comedy with heavy riffs and chaotic live antics, Sons of Butcher first carved out their legacy as the real‑world extension of their Teletoon animated series, building a cult following through spandex‑clad performances, pepperette‑throwing, and unapologetically ridiculous rock theatre.
