Centuries after humanity has embraced life inside the so-called Human Farm, the protagonist Abe begins to question the apparent perfection of a system that guarantees safety while concealing its true cost. What once appeared as salvation gradually reveals itself as confinement disguised as privilege.

Celebrating 40 years in the metal underground, power-thrash legends Sacred Oath have released their fourth lyric-video single, “1986,” a powerful tribute to the nostalgia-driven genre they helped pioneer decades ago.

“The ’80s are always looked back on as the golden age of metal, and certainly the creativity back then was through the roof,” says vocalist and guitarist Rob Thorne. “But nostalgia is funny, isn’t it? We tend to remember only the good things. 1986 was a great and formative year for us, but it was also difficult. We survived some heavy stuff-both as a band and as a country.”

The band is currently working toward the release of a full album of new material slated for 2026 and has been unveiling a series of video singles throughout the recording process. According to Thorne, the release strategy reflects the realities of today’s music landscape.

“It’s not the way we’ve released albums in the past, but things have changed,” he explains. “We’re all living in a streaming world now-it’s immediate. This approach allows us to keep up while still producing what I believe is some of our strongest work to date.”
