ANCESTROS' album Blasfemia Austral is scheduled for November 16, 2026, via Cyclic Law, with digital, LP and digisleeve CD editions planned. The Seville collective combines avant-garde extreme metal with a lyrical approach grounded in Speculative Realism, including writings by Germán Sierra and Ramiro Sanchiz.

The accompanying announcement describes the album's central concept in these terms: “Addresses the concept of the ‘austral’ as a myth of geological horror, a vector towards the desert as a non-place. The austral is invoked and superimposed in layers upon our reality, in a process of irrational, hallucinatory deterritorialization”.

The collective's stated musical aim is to revisit extreme metal's early creative impulses through experimentation. Its announcement identifies the “hyper-riff,” rhizomatic structures, deterritorialization and hypertexture as tools used in that approach.

ANCESTROS includes members associated with Orthodox, Pylar and Voidescent. The announcement cites Portal, Deathspell Omega and Reverorum ib Malacht as musical reference points, alongside an intention to reconnect with the original essence of Hellhammer and Bathory through an experimental approach.

The project's visual and thematic framework draws on southern Europe's cultural heritage. The supplied statement specifically names the tenebrism of Baroque painting and the ritual gravity of megalithic culture, connecting those references with the album's broader conceptual direction.
