BOSCO SACRO – Band Discusses ‘Silence Dances’ as Inhabit Announcement Continues

BOSCO SACRO have presented ‘Silence Dances’, the third single from their second album, Inhabit, with a statement explaining how its arrangement developed through playing together. The Italian ambient doom/trip-hop quartet’s announcement identifies the song as streaming and announces the album for November 6 through Supernatural Cat Records.

‘The title 'Silence Dances' is a bit of a paradox, a synesthetic oxymoron. It captures what it feels like for us to play this track live,’ the band state in the announcement supplied by Earsplit PR.

The musicians describe a change between the song’s two parts: ‘The first half is very physical, driven by a tumbao-like groove where the pulse becomes one with the body. It’s all about inhabiting that rhythm.’ They continue: ‘The second part opens up into something longer, straighter, and more expansive.’ Their account connects that progression to the experience of entering an apparently empty, unrestricted space during rehearsal.

That collective approach also shaped Inhabit. According to the announcement, the album was composed entirely live in the rehearsal room and recorded over seven days with producer Lorenzo Stecconi. Its eight interconnected tracks bring together doom, slowcore, dreamgaze, ambient and trip-hop, with ego dissolution and rebirth forming the stated conceptual framework.

Recording took place at Daniele Onori’s AMM, Monteggiori Studio in Tuscany. Stecconi also mixed and mastered the album at Triple Sun in Rome. The announced formats are LP, CD, a limited-edition LP and CD bundle, and digital.

The announcement identifies Roberta Busato’s sculpture Testa di Terra (‘Head of Earth’) as the work featured on the album cover. It also describes a limited-edition package with layered, die-cut inserts that can be rotated to change the appearance of individual copies.

BOSCO SACRO’s supplied lineup comprises Paolo Monti and Francesco Vara on guitar, Giulia Parin Zecchin on vocals and lyrics, and Luca Scotti on drums. The accompanying band photography is credited to Alberto Olivotto.
