CALUS have accompanied The Evolution of Social Exclusion with an official music video for “Under the Banner(of Attrition),” according to the announcement from ClawHammer PR. The South Carolina stoner metal band’s new release, presented by the publicist as an EP, is available on CD and digital.
Apple Music lists October 2, 2026 as the digital release date. ClawHammer PR also reports that The Evolution of Social Exclusion is streaming on Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music.
The announcement describes the release as CALUS’ “first newly recorded work since 2006’s Spiritual Warfare.” Alongside “Under the Banner(of Attrition),” the supplied promotional listing names “No Curses,” “Perdition Anthem,” “Stone Snake,” “Strange Gods” and “New World Opus” among the release’s songs.
The new recordings are distinct from the archival material discussed in the same announcement. ClawHammer PR reports that CALUS have also made previously unreleased songs from their vault available as the streaming EP Australis Sacro Modus.
The announcement lists CALUS’ lineup as Chris Driggers on bass, Harold Smith on drums and vocals, Dustin Holliday on guitars, Rodney Ervin on guitars and vocals, and Jeremy Aiken on vocals.
