A video for CATHEDRAL's new version of “Edwige's Eyes” is out now, accompanying the announcement of a remixed edition of The Guessing Game. Rise Above Records will release the reissue of the band's ninth studio album on October 30.

Longtime collaborator Jaime Gomez Arellano has completely remixed the album from its original masters. The edition incorporates alternate takes and extended song versions across five sides of vinyl. The announcement describes the revised sound as more cohesive, stripped-down, raw and powerful.

The decision to revisit the recordings followed the return of the recording rights to CATHEDRAL. According to the announcement, the band had been happy with the original production but felt the mix lacked the sound they had envisioned. Returning to the masters gave them an opportunity to bring the album closer to that intention.

The Guessing Game originally appeared through Nuclear Blast in 2010 as a double-disc set. It was produced by three-time Grammy Award winner Warren Riker, whose credits cited in the announcement include Fugees, Down, M People, Destiny's Child and COC.

The announcement characterizes the album as an overlooked part of CATHEDRAL's repertoire and emphasizes its range of musical approaches, with individual songs taking distinct directions. The expanded vinyl presentation and revised mix revisit that material through alternate performances and longer versions.

Pre-orders for the reissue are available through Rise Above Records.
