DOMINION's debut album, Mortification of Thy Flesh, is now streaming in full on the Death Metal Promotion YouTube channel. The nine-track recording arrives ahead of its international release on October 12 via Sinistrari Records.
The full-album stream presents the New Hampshire band's move from their four-song Evil Control EP to their first full-length. DOMINION recorded Mortification of Thy Flesh at Witch House Studios in Groton, Massachusetts, in November 2025, following work on the material through much of that spring and summer. Claytanas replaced earlier drummer Flagellator for the debut album.
DOMINION's stated direction reaches back to death metal's earlier era. The release announcement describes the band's purpose as “calling forth the past glory of true, old-school death metal,” reflecting the approach behind their formation.
Uncle Sadism, handling vocals and guitars, and bassist Ogre established DOMINION in New Hampshire in 2019. They initially developed material without a drummer; Flagellator joined in 2022, allowing rehearsals for Evil Control to begin. Noctis also joined as a second bassist, a configuration the announcement credits with adding heaviness to the band's sound.
Sinistrari Records released Evil Control in October 2024, when DOMINION also performed at Forged in Defiance Fest in Texas. The announcement recounts that copies of the EP arrived from the label in El Paso for that weekend. After returning to New Hampshire, the band relocated to a practice space in Manchester that, according to the supplied biography, had also been used by GG Allin.
The biography includes another connection to their earlier rehearsal surroundings: it says DOMINION learned that serial killer Sheila LaBarre had once lived in a house adjacent to the area where they were writing “Sexual Sadism” and “Serial Rape.” The announcement presents that proximity as a coincidence, rather than identifying her case as the inspiration for either song. Both titles appear on Mortification of Thy Flesh.
