LETHERNAL UTOPIA are bringing their debut full-length, Illusion Of Time, to a wider European and international audience. Already available digitally, the album is the focus of the French modern metal band's current announcement, following their debut single, Live To Die.
The announcement identifies that single as an early introduction to the band and describes the current album campaign as an expansion beyond its initial audience. The news concerns the wider promotion of an existing release; no specific album release date is supplied.
Musically, the accompanying press material places Illusion Of Time between the melodic metal of the 1990s and 2000s and contemporary metalcore. It describes a combination of sharp riffs, substantial rhythmic foundations and soaring vocal lines, with aggression and atmosphere both part of the band's approach.
The album's stated themes are inner conflict, resilience and transformation. The announcement frames those subjects through a balance of melancholy and strength, connecting its lyrical concerns with the record's melodic and heavier elements.
LETHERNAL UTOPIA formed in Toulouse in 2023. Their supplied background names In Flames, Heaven Shall Burn and Trivium among their influences and describes their founding aim as combining melodic metal's emotional weight with metalcore's contemporary force. Illusion Of Time is their debut album, with streaming, purchase and download access promoted through Bandcamp.
