MIDNIGHT has released a visualizer for the live version of ‘Violence On Violence,’ taken from Satanic Attack Live!. The recording arrives November 6 through Metal Blade Records and documents two sold-out performances at Hollywood’s Knucklehead on May 28–29, 2026.
The shows were part of MIDNIGHT’s Satanic Royalty 15th Anniversary World Tour. The live release presents the ten songs from the band’s 2011 album in their original running order, followed by five additional tracks. ‘Violence On Violence’ appears ninth in the sequence; MIDNIGHT previously shared a video for ‘You Can’t Stop Steel,’ also included on the recording.
Founding bassist and vocalist Athenar describes the release in terms of the performances’ imperfections and audience interaction. ‘No “unleashed in the studio” or “unalive!” here,’ he says. ‘All the popcorn tempos, forgotten lyrics, and shit notes are there for your taste buds to savor.’
He continues: ‘I would love to hear what kind of live album Steely Dan would record while wearing masks, leather, spikes, bullets, and chains in a 1000degree smokey club full of rabid maniacs throwing beer on your wah-wah pedal, knocking microphones into your teeth, clawing at your crotch, headbanging into your headstock, and generally doing what they should be doing at a MIDNIGHT concert! I wouldn't have it any other way.’
Mark Borders recorded Satanic Attack Live!, with mixing and mastering by Zach Rippy. The recording lineup consists of Athenar on bass and vocals, DK Vagslay on guitars, and Iron Possessor on drums. The five songs following the Satanic Royalty material are ‘Holocausting Deafening,’ ‘Shock Til Blood,’ ‘T.A.P.,’ ‘Fucking Speed And Darkness,’ and ‘F.O.A.L.’
The release will be available on CD, digitally, and on vinyl with an included poster. Announced vinyl variants are Blue White Black A Side B Side for the US, 180g Black for Europe, and a European Blood Splatter edition limited to 350 copies. An LP-plus-7-inch special edition, also including a poster, is limited to 500 copies and designated a Europe-and-band exclusive.
MIDNIGHT will also support GWAR on a North American tour running October 27–December 12, 2026, with Mac Sabbath and select-date appearances by X-Cops or Atomic Rule. The itinerary opens at Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, Virginia, and ends at The NorVa in Norfolk, Virginia. The New York stop is December 10 at Palladium Times Square, with GWAR, Mac Sabbath, and X-Cops.
X-Cops is listed for the opening tour segment through Dallas on November 10 and returns for the December 3–12 dates. Atomic Rule is listed for the November 12–December 2 segment, which includes stops in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg. Three separate MIDNIGHT headlining appearances are announced for October 30 at Bad Astronaut in Houston, October 31 at The Lost Well in Austin, and November 3 at Brass Mug in Tampa.
