QUEMASANTOS pair the opening track of their second album, Stranded In Hell, with a lyric video for “One Foot In Hell,” featuring guest guitarist Juancho Gómez of Colombia’s Masacre. The New York-based heavy/thrash metal project with Chilean roots released the eleven-song album worldwide on October 9, 2026, through Digmetalworld, with distribution by MVD Entertainment Group.
The video accompanies a record built around eleven separate visions of Hell. In the announcement supplied by Asher Media Relations, vocalist and lyricist Nelson “Sr. Díaz” describes self-contained chapters linked by fear, temptation, isolation and survival. Their shared concept does not require listeners to follow a single narrative in sequence. Dreams, literature, altered states of consciousness, religion, cinema, war and cosmic horror provide the material for these different manifestations, with room left for individual interpretation.
The album’s cinematic approach also connects to Ignacio Orellana’s background in video editing. Working from Díaz’s narratives, Orellana imagined scenes while developing the music, shaping arrangements around movement and atmosphere alongside the record’s classic heavy and thrash metal foundations.
For the first time on a QUEMASANTOS full-length, Orellana recorded the drums, bass and guitars himself, while eleven guests supplied the guitar solos. The collaborators come from Chile, the United States, Brazil and Colombia. They recorded remotely under shared technical specifications and sent their performances to New York, where Orellana integrated the contributions and produced, mixed and mastered the album at Oily Sound Studios.
Díaz supplied the vocals, concept and lyrics, except for “Burning The Black,” written by Orellana. That song draws on Orellana’s experience accompanying his wife, Ximena Muñoz, through her illness and coping with her death. Its account of loss and resilience places a personal experience within an album otherwise concerned with fictional visions of Hell. Felipe Roa of Acaro contributes the track’s guest guitar solo.
Following “One Foot In Hell” and “Burning The Black,” the running order continues with “Succubus,” featuring Héctor Guzmán of Distraught; “Stalking Sharks,” with Marco Cusato; “Nameless,” with Joe Sims of Axemaster; and “Red Planet,” with Regisson Silva of Masterpiece.
The remaining tracks are “Vampire,” featuring Richard Pilnik; “The Oneironaut,” with Cristian Ira of Nimrod; “Under The Moonlight,” with Sebastián Osorio of Reigning; “Before The Law,” with Yanko Tolić of Massakre; and “Lex Talionis,” with Enrique Zúñiga of Atomic Aggressor. Each of the eleven songs has its own guest solo guitarist.
Vocals were recorded at Estudios Ultrasónico with Arturo Contreras and at Estudios Attic with Marco Cusato. The recording brings together Díaz’s vocal and lyrical work with Orellana’s instrumental foundations and production, using remote collaboration to assemble the guest performances into the finished album.
Stranded In Hell is available through the band’s Bandcamp page, Spotify and Apple Music. Physical editions are listed through MVD Shop on CD and Digmetalworld as a digipack.
