“Funeral,” the second track on SOLYSTALGIA’s self-titled debut album, now has a music video streaming via Stoned Meadow of Doom. The death-doom band announced the clip in its October 26 press release, following the album’s June 24, 2026 release through Nameless Grave Records.
The four-minute, 20-second song sits within an eight-track record whose musical context combines intricate death metal riffs with doom and ambient passages. The announcement describes the album’s themes as grief and atrocity, and recommends it for listeners of Hooded Menace, Mortiferum, Ahab, Dream Unending and Disembowelment.
Austin Wheeler, also of Savage Oath, handles drums alongside synthesizers, electronics, programming, backing vocals and lyrics. Wilco contributes guitars, bass, synthesizers, electronics, programming and backing vocals, while Paul Black provides vocals and lyrics.
The album also features guest vocals from Tanner Anderson on its seventh track, “Entropic.” Anderson’s associated bands listed in the announcement include Crypt Sermon, Obsequiae, Panopticon and Majesties.
Wilco and Wheeler recorded the album, with Wheeler credited for mixing. Kona Ossana supplied additional mixing on the closing track, “Acceptance,” and Arthur Rizk mastered the record. Adam Chmielowski created the cover art; the supplied band photographs are credited to Jaden Poulson.
