SYSTEM SHOCK – Band Discuss Return as They Join Art Gates Records

SYSTEM SHOCK have joined Art Gates Records. In the label’s announcement, the band discuss returning after time away and choosing a partner for their new music.

“After being away for so long, finding the right people to work with on our return was really important to us,” the band state. They say their initial discussions with Art Gates Records gave them confidence that the label understood their intentions, adding: “We’re really happy to be working together and can’t wait to get the new music out there.”

The announcement describes SYSTEM SHOCK’s music as a combination of melodic death metal and modern metal. Alongside aggressive guitars, a prominent rhythm section and melodic passages, it identifies synthesizers, piano, orchestral elements, clean vocals and atmospheric textures as components of the band’s sound.

Art Gates Records CEO Iván Magdalena points to the band’s Swedish roots and experience in his statement. He describes the qualities that drew the label to their music as “raw power, emotion, memorable melodies and a truly crushing modern production.”

Magdalena adds: “We are incredibly proud to welcome them to the Art Gates Records family and stand beside them in this powerful new chapter.” The partnership announcement refers to several previous releases but supplies no titles or dates for the new music discussed by SYSTEM SHOCK.
