THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA have presented a video for their new single, “In My Dreams…,” out now through Prosthetic Records. Vocalist Andy Reynolds describes the track as an expression of the Maryland deathcore band's own identity, with lyrics that question the difference between choosing a belief and accepting one without examination.

In the announcement distributed by EARSPLIT PR, Reynolds explains: “This song feels like what the band has been trying to do since the beginning. It feels like a THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA song, not a Myspace deathcore revival song. This era of the band has its own identity rather than being put in a box.”

He connects that musical perspective to the song's subject: “Lyrically, it’s also about being put in a box, in a way. It’s important to know when you’re choosing to believe something versus blindly following it because you’re told it’s the right thing to do. Question everything…even God.”

The accompanying press announcement places regeneration and renewal at the center of the band's approach, describing an effort to confront trauma, regret and insecurity. It characterizes their music as a combination of deathcore, death metal and melody. Reynolds' statement gives the new single a more specific focus: establishing an identity beyond revival-scene expectations while examining imposed beliefs.

THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA emerged in 2022 with a sound drawing on Gothenburg melodic death metal. Their earlier albums are Act Like You Don’t Know (2023) and I’m Done With Self Care, It’s Time For Others’ Harm (2025). The announcement also highlights the songs “I Can’t Save You” and “Gage Lanza 2: Return Of The Red Hammer” from their existing catalog.

The five-piece lineup consists of Reynolds on vocals, Evan McArthur and Scott Chan on guitars, Bradon Albaugh on bass, and Joey Bowers on drums. The supplied band photograph is credited to Chandler Moyer.

The single arrives ahead of November 2026 US touring with Girls Of Glass and xMercyx. The announcement also outlines a subsequent headlining run, with Destroy All! Humans and The Crimson Armada supporting on select dates.
