The official video for SEVEN KINGDOMS’ “Sono Sola” accompanies a song that vocalist Sabrina Cruz connects with isolation, resilience and regret. Introducing the Florida power metal band’s sixth full-length album, the title track is its lead single. Sono Sola is scheduled for January 29, 2027, through Reigning Phoenix Music, with pre-orders and pre-saves available.

Cruz describes filming alone in the barren landscape near Groom Lake, recalling the sun and moon sharing the sky. That experience connects with the song’s reflections on finding strength in solitude and accepting the limits of personal knowledge.

“Ultimately, 'Sono Sola' is equal parts nostalgia and regret: like missing something deeply, knowing that hindsight is 20/20, and realizing you can’t get back what's gone,” she says.

Her account also outlines a change in the band’s musical approach, with darker tuning and a different vocal delivery. Cruz worked closely with her lower register, combining delicate nuances, grit and belting. She says the lyrics address the wisdom accumulated through life and the realization that learning can expose how little a person knows.

“On this song in particular, I worked intimately with my lower register, weaving together delicate nuances, raw grit, and powerful belting,” Cruz explains.

The album follows a successful Kickstarter campaign and the band’s re-signing with Reigning Phoenix Music. Guitarist Camden Cruz says the crowdfunding allowed SEVEN KINGDOMS to devote more time and money to completing the record, while the band aims to take its live show to more places during the album cycle.

“It was the first time in our career we were able to spend the time and money getting everything we wanted completed at the highest level we could physically give,” he says.

Reigning Phoenix Music also points to the work behind the recording: “You can hear how much time, work and intention went into this record, from the songwriting and performances to the overall production.”

Sono Sola was recorded at Morrisound Recording in April and May 2026 with Jim Morris, whose credits include SAVATAGE, WARRANT and DEATH. SEVEN KINGDOMS wrote the album with Morris. Production is credited to Morris, SEVEN KINGDOMS and Francesco Cavalieri, with Cavalieri of WIND ROSE also identified as co-producer. Bo Bradshaw created the album artwork.

Formed in Deland, Florida, in 2007, SEVEN KINGDOMS solidified their lineup in 2009 and signed with Nightmare Records. BLIND GUARDIAN selected the band to support their 2010 North American tour. Subsequent appearances included ProgPower USA and the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, with The Fire is Mine released in 2012.

The band’s touring history includes dates alongside AMARANTHE and EVERGREY, sole support for POWERWOLF’s first US tour, and shows with WIND ROSE in the United States and Europe. Their previous full-length, Zenith, arrived in 2022 through Distortion Music Group; the EP The Square followed in 2024 through Reigning Phoenix Music.

In 2025, SEVEN KINGDOMS supported UNLEASH THE ARCHERS in Europe alongside STRIKER, then returned to North America with BLIND GUARDIAN and ENSIFERUM. The lineup comprises Sabrina Cruz on vocals, Camden Cruz and Kevin Byrd on guitars, and Keith Byrd on drums.
