• PRISONER Announces "Kill The King Tour" (BC/AB) In Support of New EP "House of Cards" Out Now!

  ​High-energy Canadian rock band Prisoner announces it will be hitting the road across British Columbia and Alberta (dates listed below) this coming May and June. Entitled "Kill The King Tour", the show dates will be in support of their follow-up album to be released in June 2025 to their 2024 EP "House of Cards". Album details will revealed at later date.

  “We can not wait to share what we have been working on this past year. Getting out on the road and sharing experiences with the music community is a privilege we are lucky to have. Expect to hear most of our new record set to release in June and keep an ear out for more dates being added for later this summer! Every artist says this, but this album is our best work to date, and it will prove we are here to stay," adds Murray Emery (guitar/vocals).

  Unelashing their technical modern metal marvel, the debut album "Eclipse" this past March, New York's FROGG is exhibiting their new animated music video "Interspecific Hybrid Species" in support of the record, co-produced by guitarist/vocalist Sky Moon Clark and Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, Scale the Summit).

  Full of proggy goodness, the track has a strong message about climate change coming for us all.

  "Interspecific Hybrid Species is an intensely proggy, mind-bending epic that weaves intricate chaos with relentless precision, delivering a whirlwind of technical wizardry and amphibious fury," adds the band.

  Frogg's first full-length features ten tracks of heavy, raw, progressive, death, and avant-garde thinking metal. The band doesn't operate in one genre all the time, and "Eclipse" is set to wonder.

  "A sonic eclipse where every genre collides—progressive, technical, and just enough death to keep your neck sore for weeks," adds bassist Ethan Emery.

  Lyrically, the record explores Mythology from various places, along with tying tales and emotions together. Fans can expect seasonal singles from Frogg going forward as they already have plans for follow-up singles to come real soon after the album's release.

Nelson Diaz meticulously designed the lyrics and concepts, while Ignacio Orellana at the renowned Oily Sound Studios handled the music production, recording, mixing, and mastering.   Emerging from Portland, OR's thriving metal underground, These Cursed Hands has unveiled a visually stunning new video for “Perihelion”, a track from their conceptual EP “Intelligent (RE)Design”, released in November 2024.

  These Cursed Hands continue to push the boundaries of modern metal, crafting a distinctive sound that seamlessly fuses black, progressive, core, death, and thrash metal elements. Their latest EP weaves a dark narrative of divine beings who, weary of humanity's existence, engineer a cybernetic fungal evolution through possessive spores. The theme draws inspiration from “The Terminator”, “The Last of Us”, and “Resident Evil” while incorporating themes from Norse mythology, Christianity, and Satanism. They comment on the track and the album:

  “Musically this album is a dynamic array of sounds and styles, featuring everything from melodic death and black metal to chunky deathcore and brutal death, with even some more ambient sections to haunt the listener. • Halifax Grunge Trio SIGSOUR Shares First Single "And It Goes" Off Upcoming Album "Apathetic Generation"

  Flourishing from a solo project shared on Soundcloud by Evan Jodrey (Guitar/Vocals), Halifax, Canada's SigSour has become a solid powerhouse trio bonded by Trey Gabriel (Bass/Vocals) and Quenny Stevens (Drums). The band is excited to announce the release of their first studio album entitled "Apathetic Generation," produced and mixed by Don Levandier (The Motorleague), due out later in 2025. The full-length follows their debut EP "Static" and Live Album "SigSour Live at Radstorm," both released in 2024.

  “Apathetic Generation” is a break the band needed to showcase all of what we are and can do. With each song telling a different story and having its unique vibe, we hope there's at least one song in the entire album that someone can relate to and head-bang to. We are super excited for our fans and people who have never heard of us to get the chance to hear something that we are very pleased to share," adds Jodrey.

  Melodic and catchy, with the music changing between punk, metal, and grunge, SigSour has become known in Canada's Maritimes as the band that keeps the energy crazy high, the crowd moving, and the eardrums bleeding. To preview what's to come from "Apathetic Generation", they are sharing the single "And It Goes", which was the first song tracked on the album. The song lyrically riffs between addiction and disingenuous people.

  Jodrey explains further:

  “The lyrics portray one’s life being mastered by addiction and constantly finding yourself in an endless cycle of pain and confusion. The release from all the pain is in the chorus, searching for answers amidst the struggle.”
