  Under the scorching sun of the sonic badlands, queer-fronted desert rock outfit Vultures At Dawn emerge from the shimmer with their debut single “Outlaws” (Texas Chainsaw Marigold); it isn't just music, it's the campfire confession of vagabonds with one eye on the horizon and one hand on their weapon. It's the sound of survival on society's edges, where victory isn't measured in gold but in living to see another blood-red sunset. The band shares their excitement:

  “‘Outlaws’ was the 2nd song that we wrote. Buck wrote the lyrics after escaping from the cops while on horseback, barely making it out alive. They wrote the song the night they got back, and turned the exhilaration of surviving into a song. It's our first publicly available song, and we have at least 5 other songs we play live, and a couple others in the process of being written.”

  Recorded within the hallowed walls of a historic church, the band infiltrated under the cover of night, “Outlaws” (Texas Chainsaw Marigold) captures the raw, untamed spirit that has made Vultures At Dawn the soundtrack for modern-day desperados. The single sears with soulful vocals from Buck Summers, backed by the thunderous heartbeat of Raven Steel's guitar work, Sebastian Black's rumbling basslines, Dallas McCoy's haunting oboe, and the relentless percussion of Doc.

  The band, notorious for their theatrical live shows that incorporate sounds from life on the lam, continues to build their loyal following of self-described outcasts, their ‘volt’ of vultures who flock to experience the band's mystical, witchy energy and bone-rattling riffs. “Outlaws” (Texas Chainsaw Marigold) offers passage into a world where the rules are written in sand and washed away with whiskey. • WOODHAWK Reveals First Single “Strangers Ever After” From New Album “Love Finds A Way” Out June 2025

  Canadian stoner rock powerhouse Woodhawk returns with the announcement of their highly anticipated third studio album, “Love Finds A Way,” set for release on June 6, 2025, via Grand Hand Records. The Calgary trio of Turner Midzain (guitar/vocals), Mike Badmington (bass), and Kevin Nelson (drums) are also dropping the record's first single, “Strangers Ever After,” toda,y giving fans their first taste of new Woodhawk material since 2019's acclaimed “Violent Nature”. The band comments on the new single:

  “This was the first song we wrote for this album. And I think we reworked it more than any song. It started out with a completely different feel and timing than what we ended up with. It was way darker. But we kept coming back to it and really loved the result. Strangers Ever After is a kind of demise of a relationship. The farewell to someone that maybe…you were better off never knowing. This is dark and honest.”

  “Love Finds A Way” marks an evolution in the band's creative journey. Their earlier work was very much influenced by bands like The Sword and Black Sabbath, with lyrics about wizards and goblins, but they've worked hard on bringing more emotion to their writing. The nine-track album promises to deliver the dynamic range fans have come to expect from Woodhawk, featuring what Midzain describes as ‘some really riff-rocking songs, but also a lot of hardship and honesty'.

  “Strangers Ever After” showcases the band's signature blend of classic hard rock sensibilities and modern stoner metal influences, delivering the infectious grooves and memorable hooks that have earned Woodhawk a devoted following since their formation in 2014.   Montreal, Canada’s deathcore outfit Deadwood has unveiled their most harrowing work to date with “Heretic”, the lead single from their upcoming EP "Rituals of A Dying Light" slated for release later this year. The accompanying video plunges viewers into a nightmarish realm that perfectly complements the band's brutal, fast-paced sonic assault. The single's release coincides with Deadwood's upcoming Japan tour (dates listed below) alongside Humanity's Last Breath and DVRK, further cementing their place in the international extreme metal scene. The comment on the single and what the audience should expect:

  “This is the first song we’ve written for the next EP and one of the ones we’re most proud of: it’s fast, heavy, and technical. We are a very intense show with a very percussive and tight guitar sound. We have a lot of samples between the songs to create a horror movie atmosphere. The fans go back home with a slap in the face. Heretic represents our darkest material yet.”

  The Montreal-based collective, known for its mission to ‘Make Deathcore Angry Again,’ draws inspiration from centuries-old horror stories and myths.   Flourishing from a solo project shared on Soundcloud by Evan Jodrey (Guitar/Vocals), Halifax, Canada's SigSour has become a solid powerhouse trio bonded by Trey Gabriel (Bass/Vocals) and Quenny Stevens (Drums). The band is excited to announce the release of their first studio album entitled "Apathetic Generation," produced and mixed by Don Levandier (The Motorleague), due out later in 2025. The full-length follows their debut EP "Static" and Live Album "SigSour Live at Radstorm," both released in 2024.

  “Apathetic Generation” is a break the band needed to showcase all of what we are and can do. With each song telling a different story and having its unique vibe, we hope there's at least one song in the entire album that someone can relate to and head-bang to. We are super excited for our fans and people who have never heard of us to get the chance to hear something that we are very pleased to share," adds Jodrey.

  Melodic and catchy, with the music changing between punk, metal, and grunge, SigSour has become known in Canada's Maritimes as the band that keeps the energy crazy high, the crowd moving, and the eardrums bleeding. To preview what's to come from "Apathetic Generation", they are sharing the single "And It Goes", which was the first song tracked on the album. The song lyrically riffs between addiction and disingenuous people.

  Jodrey explains further:

  “The lyrics portray one’s life being mastered by addiction and constantly finding yourself in an endless cycle of pain and confusion. The release from all the pain is in the chorus, searching for answers amidst the struggle.”
