  • MOONSHADE Unleashes Epic Metal Rendition of STROMAE’s “Ma Meilleure Ennemie” Ahead of 2026 Cover EP "Angels, Blood And Enemies"

Portuguese melodic death metal force Moonshade has unveiled their latest single, a thunderous, emotionally charged cover of Stromae & Pomme’s “Ma Meilleure Ennemie.” Accompanied by a lyric video, the track will be featured on their upcoming three-song EP, "Angels, Blood And Enemies," set for release in February 2026.

Inspired by an unforgettable scene from the Netflix series ArcaneMoonshade’s cover strips away the original’s trip-hop shell and rebuilds it with their signature blend of epic, brutal, and atmospheric metal. The band’s connection to Arcane and League of Legends runs deep, with members Pedro and Ricardo being longtime Stromae fans.

“We annoyed the rest of the band to exhaustion to make this cover happen. But they’re always tolerant of our eccentricities, and now we have a metal version of this brilliant Belgian trip-hop artist. We wanted to highlight the song’s emotional intensity using our own sonic palette. We’ve never done covers before, and there’s probably not much overlap between our fanbase and Stromae’s. But we had fun, we’re proud of it, and that’s what matters. Moonshade’s fans are open-minded and adventurous, traits that make this cover EP a natural fit,” says vocalist Ricardo Pereira, who also performs clean vocals alongside drummer Daniel, adding layers to the song’s theme of love-hate duality.

If you love Insomnium, Heaven Shall Burn, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, or Omnium Gatherum, Moonshade’s sound will feel like home.

With "Angels, Blood And Enemies," Moonshade invites fans into a new chapter, one of fearless reinterpretation, emotional depth, and genre-defying creativity.

The single’s artwork, designed by Rui Carneiro (Lorna Shore, Polaris, Chelsea Grin), draws from Guido Reni’s Archangel Michael Defeating Satan, visually anchoring the EP’s title, "Angels, Blood And Enemies." Carneiro also created the remaining two artworks for the EP, whose tracklist remains a mystery for now.

Watch the lyric video for "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" created by Jöel Martins from Titanforged Productions (Wolfheart, Analepsy, Dark Oath).

  • GREYSTONE CANYON Shares Cover Video of THIN LIZZY's “Suicide”

Australian hard rockers Greystone Canyon return with a powerful new single - a bold rendition of Thin Lizzy’s “Suicide”, available worldwide today, November 7th, 2025. The track is the first glimpse into the band’s forthcoming album "Something Borrowed…Something New," due out December 5th, 2025, from Rockshots Records, marking their most authentic and organic release to date.

Faithful to the spirit of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy’s timeless legacy, Greystone Canyon delivers a warm, punchy, and honest version of “Suicide”, enriched by their signature blend of melodic rock and gritty hard-edged groove. Recorded live with no click tracks or studio trickery, the single captures the raw chemistry of a band feeding off one another in the room - a true celebration of rock ‘n’ roll energy.

Produced by the band and engineered by Joel Taylor at Black Lodge Studio (Melbourne), "Something Borrowed…Something New" represents a turning point in Greystone Canyon’s journey. As the title suggests, it’s a hybrid record - a mix of new original songs and hand-picked classics from the bands that shaped their sound, including Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, UFO, and Neil Young. The album bridges past and present, combining heartfelt tributes with fresh, road-worn originals such as “Drives Us,” “Friend of the Fox,” and “Stealing Our Freedom”.

    Vocalist/guitarist Darren Cherry comments:

“This is our most honest record so far - real instruments, real performances, all captured live in one room. We wanted to remind listeners of the warmth and punch that only true rock bands can create together. It’s pure, old-school energy and we had an absolute blast making it.”

Following the success of "Iron & Oak" (2024), which reached #18 on the Australian iTunes Hard Rock chart and earned multiple 10/10 media scores, the band is poised to bring their music to a new global audience with a record that’s equal parts homage and evolution.

Recommended for fans of Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, and ZZ Top, Greystone Canyon's new album “Something Borrowed…Something New” is out December 5th, 2025

Czech modern metal upstarts STELLVRIS are set to unleash their highly anticipated new EP, "Shatter and Bloom," on Friday, November 7th. Ahead of its official release, the band is premiering both the EP and a powerful new music video for the title track, a showcase of their signature blend of crushing heaviness, soaring melodies, and raw emotion, exclusively via Decibel Magazine HERE.

Formed in 2019 after an impromptu jam session led to their first live show at Prague’s iconic Music Club Modrá Vopice, STELLVRIS have quickly carved out a reputation for their powerful, emotional, heavy, melodic, and modern sound. With "Shatter and Bloom," the band takes another bold step forward, pushing their sonic boundaries while staying true to the intensity that has fueled their rise.

Produced by Christoph Wieczorek at Sawdust Recordings, the five-track EP delivers a dynamic fusion of crushing breakdowns, electronic textures, and irresistibly catchy choruses. Lyrically, it dives headfirst into themes of destruction, rebirth, toxic relationships, and the struggles of modern life, all expressed with raw honesty. The journey begins with the title track “Shatter and Bloom,” a defiant anthem about tearing down what no longer serves and allowing something stronger to rise. “Silence After Violence” follows as a stark warning against the growing tide of aggression in society, even among the youngest generations. With “Monster,” the band turns inward, confronting the scars of toxic relationships while celebrating the strength it takes to break free. “Time’s Up” offers a sharp critique of living life solely online, disconnected from reality and responsibility. Closing the record is “Starships,” a heavy, metal-charged reimagining of Nicki Minaj’s pop hit, ending the EP on an explosive note of energy and fun.

“Shatter and Bloom is more than just a collection of songs; it’s about destroying what’s toxic and giving space for something new to grow. Every track reflects real struggles we’ve faced or witnessed, from toxic relationships to the rising aggression in society. We want fans to feel seen, empowered, and connected through this music. It’s heavy, it’s honest, and it’s meant to hit both the heart and the pit,” adds the band.

With "Shatter and Bloom," STELLVRIS continue their evolution, delivering a record that is as cathartic as it is crushing, a testament to resilience, transformation, and the unbreakable spirit of modern metal.

Recommended for fans of Jinjer, Spiritbox, Holy Wars, Infected Rain, and I Prevail, "Shatter and Bloom" will be available on all digital platforms, along with Vinyl.

  • Prog Collective LUNAR Reimagines Marilyn Manson with Progressive Metal Cover "Mechanical Animals"

Progressive metal collective LUNAR returns with a powerful new standalone single, “Mechanical Animals,” a bold reinterpretation of the iconic Marilyn Manson track. Following the critical acclaim of their 2025 concept album "Tempora Mutantur," LUNAR continues to evolve, this time stepping into the world of covers for the first time in their career.

“We’re really excited to release our new single ‘Mechanical Animals'. This is a cover of an old Marilyn Manson song that we’ve been wanting to do for quite some time now. I’ve listened to this song many times over the years, and there were certain parts that I always thought, ‘ooh, that would be cool to do there.’ Having these different ideas in my head to make it a bit more proggy, I figured it was a perfect track for LUNAR to cover. It’s also the first recorded LUNAR track with our new guitarists, Jordan Price and Jason Ashcraft, on it. We hope you all enjoy it!” shares drummer and founding member Alex Bosson.

“Mechanical Animals” bridges the gap between "Tempora Mutantur" and the band’s forthcoming fifth album, offering fans a taste of LUNAR’s evolving sonic palette. The track blends the haunting industrial tones of Marilyn Manson's original with LUNAR’s signature progressive flair, layered instrumentation, dynamic vocal interplay, and atmospheric depth. This release also marks the debut of new guitarists Jordan Price and Jason Ashcraft, whose contributions bring fresh energy and complexity to the band’s sound.

With “Mechanical Animals,” LUNAR not only pays homage to a formative influence but also showcases their ability to transform familiar material into something uniquely their own. The single will be available now on all major streaming platforms on September 12, 2025.

Listen to “Mechanical Animals” via its premiere on Metal Addicts HERE.

  • DOLL “Better Days, Different Times” EP Completes Their Triumphant Return

Canadian alt-rock powerhouse Doll is now streaming “Better Days, Different Times”, their first new collection of material since 2011's “The Ragdoll Diaries”. The EP represents not just a return to form but a significant evolution for the Ottawa-based band that has expanded their sonic palette while maintaining their core identity. They share their excitement:

“With this album, we wanted to pull listeners in closer to what’s top of mind to us, our values, our experiences. It’s not just something to hear; it’s something to sit and listen to. It’s less about the volume this time, more about the weight behind the lyrics.”

Every track on this record was handpicked because it struck something deep in Doll. Some songs come in softer, quieter moments. But don’t let that fool you, the weight is still there. The message is still dark, still heavy.

The EP maintains the band’s commitment to authentic expression and therapeutic songwriting. Each track emerges from genuine experience and emotion, continuing the band’s tradition of using music as both personal processing and connection with listeners who share similar struggles.

“Better Days, Different Times” marks not just Doll’s return from the dead, but their emergence as a more complete artistic entity. The EP proves that time away has served to deepen rather than diminish their creative impact, offering both longtime fans and new listeners a compelling entry point into the band's evolved sound. They are recommended for fans of Nobro, SoftCult, Amyl and the Sniffers, and The Pretty Reckless.

Listen to the EP's full stream premiere on GhostCultMagazine HERE.
