  • Out Now! VORAATH Journey Into Extreme Storytelling And Craft A Metal Multiverse In “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” + Tour Dates w/ Gorgatron, Casket Robbery

Voraath - L-R - Tylor Kohl - Guitar, Paul McBride - Bass, Joshua Ward - Drums, Keys, Vocals, Studio Guitars, Chelsea Marrow - Vocals, Daniel Presnell - Guitar

Prepare for a sonic descent into the unknown as USA’s Voraath unleashes their debut album “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” - a heavy and immersive experience through extreme music and sci-fi themes. In this release, they infused their enthusiasm for 80’s action sci-fi with their passion for brutal yet epic metal with hints of their own culture which includes haunting folk elements. They explain further:

“We think this album will be something unique, a whirlwind of emotions and an auditory odyssey. We capsulated real events in our lives and laced them through our complex musical universe. We want the fans to feel the music, and ride along with us on this musical journey through our dystopian planet. Their story will take an unforeseen turn as they encounter interdimensional horrors and bestow the moniker of god hunters.”

Voraath is proud of the level of detail that this album represents; from the duality of brutal yet melancholic soundscapes to the intricate lore which expands from the Appalachian mountains to the furthest regions of the cosmos. Being sci-fi enthusiasts they wanted to tell a grand story with cosmic entities warring and interdimensional worlds while paying homage to their culture in the Appalachian Mountains.

Voraath's lore, created from scratch, presents a seemingly simple dystopian survival story that unveils cosmic implications as one delves deeper. The band's commitment to their narrative is evident in their songwriting process, with each member contributing their unique specialties to shape the final product. Get ready to embark on a metal journey like no other.

This is an odyssey of hardship, betrayal, and survival that leads us to discoveries with cosmic implications. It is recommended for fans of Septic Flesh, Gojira, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

In additional news, VORAATH will be supporting Gorgatron and Casket Robbery on the "Mechanical Necrosis Tour" this coming June and July (dates listed below) along with a performance at this year's Michigan Metal Fest on August 24th in Battle Creek alongside Mushroomhead, (hed) PE, Gideon and lots more.

Prepare to be dragged kicking and screaming into the sickeningly dark world of horror films with MRSA's latest video single “Crystal Lake”. Fronted by the grotesquely charismatic Dean Corpse, they unleash a nightmarish blend of unrelenting music and horror theatrics that will leave you begging for more. They comment on the single:

“This a reworked version of said song from our last EP. We felt that this song is the perfect embodiment of what we as a band love to do! This track represents the hooks and brutal in-your-face music that we want to be known for. Along with the video we want to represent some of what we do live as well. As much fun as you are having watching this, we want to give the same energy live!”

MRSA doesn't just perform; they immerse you in a full-blown horror show. Each performance is an unforgettable spectacle featuring scare actors, full effects, and meticulously crafted props. Expect sprayed blood, eerie fog, and spine-chilling lighting that drags you into the void of extremeness. No two MRSA shows are the same, ensuring an unpredictable and exhilarating experience every time. This dedication to entertainment bleeds through in the newest video.

  • ART OF ATTRITION Provides A Devastating Soundtrack To Anger With “Vitriol” Off “...And It Will All End Forever” Out July 2024

L-R - Johnny VanderRoest (Guitars), Joshua Hahn (Vocals), Jack Sutherland (Guitars), Greg Smith (Drums)

Art of Attrition is a blackened technical deathcore band who separated themselves from the underground local scene with their 8-string barrage of dueling melodic guitars, gravity blast beats, intense guttural vocals, and epic orchestration. This year they are releasing their new EP “...And It Will All End Forever” on July 26, 2024. To whet the palates of those who enjoy infectious, brutal music, they are now releasing their music video for the single “Vitriol”, which they comment on:

“Vitriol was the first single we wrote and it set the tone for what we wanted to hear in the E.P. musically and lyrically. We created an eerie, despair-like atmosphere within the song while still recalling a fierceness. Creatively, we tried some new song structure ideas and it turned out exactly how we wanted. We are feeling very positive for the next chapter of AOA music.”

Musically, “Vitriol” is technical and epic. It starts with a melodic intro that is reflective of the first verse riff and gives an eerie rising effect. It is fast and technically proficient. It has a very epic chorus, haunting and catchy! Lyrically, it explores themes of anger - if left unchecked, it tends to fester over time. The single is an introspective foray into the worthiness of allowing space for such feelings and actions, into one's own life.

The EP, “...And It Will All End Forever” is pure chaotic inoculation. A culmination of everything AoA has worked so hard to achieve in one record. Now, they are set to write a bit out of their comfort zone and delve into other genres that they love. The EP is recommended for fans of Lorna Shore, Aversions Crown, and Gaerea.

  • Prepare For Unbridled Brutality With “The Fallen Lament, Paralytikus Ascends” From Onchocerciasis Esophagogastroduodenoscopy

L - R - The Popuko - Guitars, Drums, Bass, Backing Vocals, Alice Simard - Guitars, Drums, Jesse Agiomamitis – Vocals

Onchocerciasis Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (OxE), a riveting slam from Quebec City, Canada are proud to share the first single “The Fallen Lament; Paralytikus Ascends” from their brutal upcoming EP “The Fallen Lament” which will be unleashed digitally on July 19th and CD on August 9th from Stillbirth Records / Gore House Productions (SBR is a GHP sublabel). The band comments on the incoming auditory assault:

“The single was one of the first few songs we wrote when recording the new LP, which is why it has a familiar feel to the songs from our ‘Adoration of Decaying Innocence’ EP and ‘Rotted Plinth of Sachiel’ LP. We wanted to couple this track with some of our older songs because it gives the fans something new, literally and metaphorically.”

The band continues to explain that the track has some hallmarks of their evolution going into their latest LP, without showing their entire hand and spoiling the fun. It’s a blister of a track that they think was naturally a good choice for first on the list.

The EP “The Fallen Lament” combines unnerving, chaotic, and apocalyptic sounds with meticulous calculation. The lyrics are predominantly penned by vocalist Jesse Agiomamitis, who draws inspiration from a myriad of sources, including video games, anime, movies, and personal experiences written in a cryptic fashion so that they can imprint in a unique way on each listener. The band is heavily influenced by the likes of Last Days of Humanity, Disentomb, and Dehumanizing Itatrian Worship, whose Kiryu Zhang does guest vocals on track 4. "Facial Gutting".

  • Horror Fiends NECRONOMICON EX MORTIS To Unleash New EP "You and Your Friends Are Dead: Game Over" End of June 2024

Formed out of the love for classic death metal, 80s shred worship, and creating gory lyrics about B-horror movies, Chicago's Necronomicon Ex Mortis unleashed two EPs in 2023, (Self-Titled - March 2023) and (Silver Bullet - August 2023) and now return in 2024 with their third entitled "You and Your Friends Are Dead: Game Over" due out on June 28th. Over the past few months they have been feeding the frenzy of horror metal fans with their singles "My Bloody Valentine", Leprechaun", "In The Mouth of Madness" and "The Dead Zone".

"This EP shows Necronomicon Ex Mortis at our most versatile; proving we have multiple ways to rip your face off! We think the fans will love the variety on this release! We want to have the listener have their expectations constantly challenged on this record!" - Guitarist - Michael Nystrom Bala - Necronomicon Ex Mortis

The tracks on "You and Your Friends Are Dead: Game Over" were chosen specifically by the band to all be incredibly different from one another. These recordings are a love letter to death metal, but also sometimes lean on the melodic side; sometimes brutal, sometimes technical. The band hops in and out of subgenres like various seasonings over baked chicken. Lyrically, the record touches on horror murder and blood.

All the tracks on the EP tell an extreme metal interpretation of the movies they are titled after. From its opener, "My Bloody Valentine", a thrash and technical death metal collision, to "Leprechaun", a melodic metal track that’s short and sweet, just like an actual Leprechaun. "In the Mouth of Madness" is low, slow, and filled with symmetrical scales. This one takes a more mid-paced approach to death metal. This song retells the story of John Carpenter's legendary movie of the same title. "The Dead Zone", is a song based more on the 90s progressive death metal sound with lots of symmetrical scales, extreme dissonance, and a cool guitar moment from Manuel Barbara. And EP closer "Jason Lives", screams “guitarist, songwriter/lyricist Mike Bala has been listening to too much Autopsy." and witnesses the band down the path of death/doom section right in the middle. This song retells the story of “Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.”

"You and Your Friends Are Dead: Game Over" will be out on June 28th, 2024, and is available for pre-order at https://necronomiconexmortis.bandcamp.com

    Track Listing:
    1. My Bloody Valentine - 5:50
    2. Leprechaun - 3:35
    3. In the Mouth of Madness - 4:59
    4. The Dead Zone - 4:02
    5. Jason Lives - 5:43
    EP Length: 24:11

    EP Lineup:
    Michael Nystrom Bala - Guitars/Songwriter/Lyrics
    Manuel Barbara - Guitars
    Yusuf Rashid - Bass
