  • Breaking Out of "The Underground" KARNAGE THROUGH CROSSING Have A New Headbanger For You!

Calgary, Alberta, gritty, melodic crossover metal Karnage Through Crossing (KTX) have announced the release of their searing new single “The Underground”, a powerhouse track from their forthcoming sophomore album, due to detonate in 2026. This follow‑up to their 2024 debut, "Shattered Chains", and 2025 single "Chosen Paths" marks the dawn of a heavier, more ambitious chapter in the KTX saga.

Born from the ashes of Nova 1 and forged in the chaos of the pandemic years, KTX, led by founding songwriter Rhyse Tremel and drummer Ashton Lal, has evolved from determined survivors into a finely tuned machine of sonic mayhem. Their mission: to fuse the thunder and majesty of traditional heavy metal with the blistering edge of thrash, the weight of death metal, and the anthemic firepower of hard rock.

“The Underground” embodies this ethos in full force. Lyrically rooted in a steampunk dystopia, it tells the tale of a slum‑born pit fighter rising to power and vengeance. Musically, it’s a battlefield of melodic euphoria, breakneck speed, and tension‑filled pauses that explode into unrelenting energy, a sound sharpened through months of rehearsal after their debut album hit the streets.

“It was the second song written for the new record and the first we rehearsed after the debut. Those dramatic pauses, the tight finish, it just kept evolving until it became one of the most energizing songs we’ve ever played,” adds Tremel.

On stage, KTX live their creed of going BIG. Think full-stack amps, custom‑built steel props wrapped in barbed wire and chrome, leather and ripped denim, massive drum kits, and the blazing strobes and fog of heavy metal’s golden age. Their storytelling blends dark fantasy, historical echoes, and unflinching empowerment, all delivered with the defiance and showmanship of their heroes: Death Angel, Megadeth, Iced Earth, Judas Priest, and Skull Fist.

With "The Underground" now unleashed, KTX is setting the stage for their most cohesive, high‑voltage release yet. The 2026 album promises monumental leaps in skill, production, and scope, a true testament to the band’s evolution from raw underground contenders to commanding torchbearers of modern metal’s old‑school soul.

  • Chris Adler (Lamb of God) Teams Up w/ TONIC BREED For Explosive New Single "Anew"

Tonic Breed, the metal project led by Norwegian musician Patrik K. Svendsen, is set to release its highly anticipated new single, "Anew," on June 19, 2025. This high-octane track features Chris Adler, the iconic drummer of Lamb of God, lending his blistering rhythms to the song. The collaboration is expected to set the metal world on fire as Tonic Breed blends its signature thrash sound with Adler's unmatched drumming prowess. The song was also mixed and mastered by acclaimed producer Machine, who also handled Lamb of God’s "Ashes of the Wake" and "Sacrament".

    Chris Adler comments:

“I was quite curious when I got an email — and some riffs — from Patrik. He’s done some cool shit and I was flattered to be on his radar… I researched it for a minute and agreed. We did have to take a minute to both feel good about what this would be — meaning I beat up his song like a fucking Rocky movie — but I knew it had the parts and strength. It’s been a privilege to work with Patrik. Humbling. You’ll know what I mean when you hear it.”

    Svendensen adds:

"I originally sent over a rough demo of the song, a storm of riffs strung together with placeholder drums and a suggested structure. We worked together on a new structure for the song, and Chris took the lead on shaping it into something far more unique and effective than my original draft. To me, this is the most Lamb of God-style drumming I’ve heard from Chris since he was in Lamb of God. I’m sure some metal guitarists would kill to hear Chris Adler’s drumming behind their riffs — I’ve been lucky enough to experience that firsthand.”

"Anew" will be available for streaming across all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, on June 19th, 2025. The release of "Anew" marks a new milestone in the band's career, as they prepare for their upcoming album, which promises more collaborations and even more explosive metal tracks to follow past high-profile collaborations, which already include Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Björn Strid (Soilwork), Michael Gilbert (Flotsam and Jetsam).

  • AUGURIUM Unleashes Tolkien Inspired Single "Faith & Death Pt. I." + Show Date Supporting INTO ETERNITY

Unleashing their third studio release “Unearthly Will” in 2023 and 2024 single / video "Morningstar", Regina, Canada's symphonic death metal outfit Augurium returns with their first taste of new music in 2025 for fans in the lead up to their opening support for progressive death masters and hometown heroes Into Eternity on May 17th. (details below).

Fans of the band are in for a positive surprise. It’s still the same Augurium they’ve been listening to since Unearthly Will, but this song taps into a more emotional side.

"For us as a band, it represents a sort of new Augurium, still within the same style we've been playing since 2021, yet naturally evolving. The goal was to create a dramatic listening experience—almost like the progression of a film. There are highs and lows, emotionally driven sections, movements that depict scenes in a hero's journey, and crushing, deafening moments. This is the first half of a sonic saga portraying the struggle between opposing forces," adds guitarist Cejay Carnochan.

Entitled "Faith & Death Pt. I.", the track is the first chapter of an epic two-part symphonic death metal series. The song is rooted in the mythological hero’s journey, using Tolkien-like storytelling to explore the duality of good and evil, which resonates in its artwork created by Mark Erskine, who also did Augurium's Unearthly Will cover art.

"'Faith and Death Pt. I' is themed around The Lord of the Rings. Part one speaks to the side of evil. This track was written from the perspective of Mordor’s legions. Moreover, it touches on the eternal struggle of light and dark and how both cannot survive without the other. A shadow cannot exist without the light. Death—the only thing certain for all mortals. If neither side can agree on which god to worship, which philosophy to follow, or what is right and wrong, one thing is undeniably and indiscriminately certain: death,"
