The complete Funerary Rites of Ancient Doom split from NEKUS and BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID is streaming on Caligari Records’ Bandcamp. The announcement presents the stream ahead of an international October 16 vinyl LP release through Caligari Records and Seed of Doom Records, with preorders available on the same album page.
The release contains four tracks and approximately 36 minutes of exclusive material, divided between a single extended NEKUS composition and three new BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID tracks on Side B.
Germany’s NEKUS open with “Dakhma,” running 19:09. The announcement describes the piece as moving between grinding aggression and slow, funereal passages, continuing the band’s combination of avant-garde elements and blunt death metal structures.
BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID, originally from Costa Rica, recently relocated to Spain. Their contribution begins with “Intro” before “The Unreachable Exaltation of Consumption” and “A Respite From the Swallowing of Existence.” The press material characterizes this side through an eerie opening, slow-motion grind, bursts of aggression and an increased emphasis on atmosphere.
The band’s debut album, Expelled Into the Unknown Depths of the Unfathomable, appeared in 2020. The announcement notes that BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID’s subsequent releases have taken shorter forms, with this split adding three further tracks to that output.
