"A beautiful melody and a beautiful lyrical theme wrapped in a tough metal coating, Burning In The Skies is a catchy, melodic take from our brand new album ”The Light That Burns The Sky”. I initially struggled with this song a lot and basically rewrote almost all of it during the last moments before entering the studio. I kept the vocal melodies from my first draft, re-arranged them a bit and then after finding the steamrolling signature riff I kept it simple knowing that this song would basically write itself from there. The last and most important piece of the puzzle was me coming up with the heartbreaking yet fictional story of the lyrics, inspired by international women’s day, and a melodic guitar solo to match the sadness of the story." -Iivo, Arion
