ArmyOfOneTV presents an interview with Jeremy Smith, bassist for Colorado progressive metal band Entropist.

The conversation arrives as Entropist promotes its debut full-length album, “The Vision,” released on June 26, 2026.

More than a decade in the making, “The Vision” is an eight-track, hour-long progressive metal concept album designed to be experienced from beginning to end. Its dual-layered narrative connects a fantastical world of demons, celestial beings, apocalyptic conflict, and the void with a more personal exploration of mental struggle, nihilism, self-realization, and the search for meaning.

Musically, the album moves through progressive metal, djent, deathcore, metalcore, and post-hardcore, balancing intricate compositions and rhythmic experimentation with atmospheric passages, melodic vocals, and crushing heaviness.

“The Vision” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Jamie King, known for his work with Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist.
