  Decimate Metalfest is proud to announce its highly anticipated return for another electrifying weekend of heavy metal music, community camaraderie, and pure passion for the art form. Set to take place in Millet, Alberta (approx 40 kilometres south of Edmonton) at the Millet Agriplex Arena on June 7th and 8th, 2024, this year's edition promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for metalheads and music enthusiasts alike.

  Renowned for its diverse lineup, Decimate Metalfest showcases the best in extreme metal, featuring a mix of established icons, rising stars, and underground favorites. Headlining this year's festival are Narcotic Wasteland and The Art of Deception, bringing their signature sound and energy to the stage. Joining them are a lineup of talented bands spanning various subgenres, ensuring there's something for every metal fan to enjoy.

  Releasing their sophomore album “From the Ashes” in April 2023, Edmonton's Fall of Earth has been supporting the record with non-stop promotion and touring across Canada since it was unveiled to the world. Today, the band is proud to share the news of their latest acknowledgment with an award nomination from the 2024 Western Canadian Music Awards for Metal & Hard Music Artist of the Year.

  "It’s a dream come true to be nominated for a music award. It’s not every day you get these types of opportunities. We can appreciate the love and hard work the WCMA does for the music community, to represent artists and bring attention to their craft. The band has been putting in the hours on the road and in the practice room, to bring people the best music, and live performances, that our fans have come to expect. We are grateful to WCMA for having us as finalists and to our supporters who’ve kept our hearts filled with fire and passion for live music, and to our management & other organizations that have helped bring our goals to fruition.   Labeling themselves as “Hybrid Metal”, Fall of Earth's sound is a contagious mélange of genres, that is continuously being refined. The primary elements come from progressive, death, and thrash, and over time, they find a lot of their tracks becoming longer, more epic, and more dynamic becoming more melodic and groove-oriented, as well as utilizing a healthy balance between heavy sections and clean sections. The latest iteration of the Canadian quartet can be experienced with their recently released sophomore album “From the Ashes”.

  Since writing their second album “From the Ashes”, Fall OF Earth says that they have a better understanding of what they want their music to become and where to steer the direction of their future works. All across the board, their lyrics come from a very personal place and hold a serious connotation.

  Creative, unpredictable, and melodic, with a wide variety of influences, Fall Of Earth offers a little bit of something for everyone.

• BODYSNATCHER To Support Hatebreed On Their Anniversary Tour

  Florida deathcore outfit BODYSNATCHER will support Hatebreed on their 20 Years Of Perseverance US tour. The journey -- set to begin October 27th in Virginia Beach, Virginia and run through November 20th in San Diego, California with more dates to be revealed – includes additional support from Dying Wish as well as Gatecreeper and Bleeding Through on select dates.

  Comments vocalist Kyle Medina, “Unreal feeling right now. I remember watching Headbanger’s Ball on MTV in middleschool with Jamey Jasta as the host. My dad showed me Hatebreed at an early age and it’s what’s shaped me and what got me into heavy music. More dates to be announced!”

  The tour follows BODYSNATCHER’s previously announced two-week run with Alpha Wolf later this month which begins on August 21st in Springfield, Missouri, runs through September 7th in Columbia, South Carolina, and includes additional support from Vatican.

  ‘For us they are still one of the most surprising acts that we have ever caught in action. Our second chance shooting Midnight in NYC and the were outstanding. 

   

  From rock and roll to thrash metal vibes and the good looks of medieval executioners,  Midnight brings the best of us even in cold night like that one.
