  • MORNINGSTVR Unveils Black Metal “The Last Of The Northern Kingdoms” Music Video For New Album “A Fate Engraved” Out June 2025

Following the announcement of his upcoming album “A Fate Engraved”, synth-based black metal artist Morningstvr has released the first single “The Last of the Northern Kingdoms”, and an accompanying music video. The nearly five-minute track showcases the Morningstvr’s signature blend of cold, atmospheric synths, thunderous drums, and anguished vocals that have become hallmarks of his distinctive sound. He comments on the single:

“The Last of the Northern Kingdoms: is the lead song on this album, it gives reference to one of Tolkien’s works thus telling the story of my origins. This one stood out to me as the lead song because of its epic changes in the song, the emotion it gives along with how heavy it became as I finished writing it.”

“The Last of the Northern Kingdoms” has overarching themes of medieval lore, ancient battles, and fallen empires. Sam Tchortov, the Russian American musician behind Morningstvr, crafts a narrative that bridges his previous work “In Memoriam of the Blvck Wind” with this new chapter in his “Unholy Trinity” saga. The visual aesthetic of the music video complements the music's frigid atmosphere, depicting desolate winter scapes and crumbling medieval architecture that reinforce the track's themes of lost glory and forgotten kingdoms.

Drawing from his diverse influences including Darkthrone, Hulder, and JRR Tolkien's works, Tchortov has created a piece that stands as both a powerful single and an integral part of the larger narrative that “A Fate Engraved” aims to tell.

  • Texas' ABOLISHMENT OF FLESH Drops Devastating Music Video for “Disavowed” Off “Resurrecting Misanthropy” EP Out Now!

Texas death metal tyrants Abolishment of Flesh are unshackling their new music video for “Disavowed”, the closing track from their 2023 EP “Resurrecting Misanthropy”. The video continues the band's tradition of creating intense, uncompromising visual experiences that match their sonic brutality. Ramon Cazares (guitars/bass/drums/vocals) explains the track in his own words:

“I wrote this song a couple of years ago. In a way, this could be a continuation of “Hater of Man”. It’s about a person that’s grown old and became misanthropic. This takes place in the future. It’s a reflection of how the world and society have failed this person. They’ve finally given up on everything and just sit and wait for death.”

At just over four minutes, “Disavowed” represents the band's evolved sound – more structured yet still maintaining the raw, chaotic energy that has defined their music since their early days. There’s a little bit of something for everyone on the EP; Abolishment of Flesh is not just death metal - they throw in some black metal, melody, thrash, groove, and grind. Combined with anti-human themes, they deliver death and destruction.

“Disavowed” embodies the band's message of anti-human sentiment, delivered with surgical precision and unbridled aggression. It is recommended for fans of Amon Amarth Kataklysm, and Suffocation.

Watch and listen to the video for “Disavowed” via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

“Resurrecting Misanthropy” is out now at Abolishmentofflesh.bandcamp.com and Spotify.

  • Texas' ABOLISHMENT OF FLESH's New Music Video "Hater of Man" Explores Disassociating with Society and Reality Off EP “Resurrecting Misanthropy”

Texas, USA’s death metal powerhouse Abolishment of Flesh is unshackling their latest music video for their track "Hater of Man" off their latest EP “Resurrecting Misanthropy”, released in 2023 via Blood Bast Distribution.

A relentless barrage of guttural death metal to knock you off your feet, the song is about a child in the womb who senses the rejection and hatred of a drug addict mother. This child grows to become disassociated with society and reality. In the end, the person is consumed with hate for themselves and everyone around them.

    Vocalist and Guitarist comments:

"This was another one I wrote almost 10 years ago. The part after the solo was rewritten and re-arranged. The older version was old-school death metal so I wanted to modernize it in a sense. I think it turned out nicely and the riffs are really fun to play."

Watch and listen to the music video for "Hater of Man" via its premiere on Slam Worldwide.

Abolishment of Flesh's latest EP “Resurrecting Misanthropy” has a little bit of something for everyone. The band is not just death metal, they throw in some black metal, melody, thrash, groove, and grind. Their sound incorporates several aspects of metal and they don’t just stick to one formula.

With themes rooted in war, violence, disease, corruption, and the systematic collapse of human civilization, Abolishment of Flesh delivers an anti-human message about death and destruction. Although AOF's violent and grim nature of its lyrics is serious, its main focus is on metal music and creativity.

  • ABOLISHMENT OF FLESH Unleashes Savage Lyric Video for “Words Defy Truth” Off EP “Resurrecting Misanthropy”

Texas, USA’s metal powerhouse Abolishment of Flesh has just released the intense lyric video for “Words Defy Truth” taken from their latest EP “Resurrecting Misanthropy”, which was released in 2023. The video, now streaming online, offers fans a visceral visual accompaniment to the band's uncompromising sonic assault that blurs the lines between black, thrash, and death metal. Fund and multi-instrumentalist Ramon Cazares comments on the track:

“‘Words Defy Truth’ was written almost 10 years ago. I’m a big melody and somewhat tech fan, so this has been both challenging and fun to write and perform. This song is about some of the stuff that I saw and experienced when I was involved in church. It seemed like the deeper I got involved, the darker things got. It wasn’t necessarily nefarious but the manipulation, control, fear, and empty hope and promises were enough for me to walk away from religion.”

With themes rooted in war, violence, disease, corruption, and the systematic collapse of human civilization, Abolishment of Flesh delivers an anti-human message about death and destruction.
