This high-concept narrative is delivered with Thirteen Goats' signature blend of infernal riffs, huge hooks, and uniquely theatrical songwriting.

Each song on the album is part of a broader narrative that explores themes of disillusionment, radicalization, and rebellion as Shepherd and his 12 demon goats wage their crusade. Thirteen Goats delivers a unique blend of death and thrash metal, combined with a storytelling approach that takes listeners on a journey through the darkest aspects of both human and animal nature.

  • Hungary's SIN OF GOD Unleashes Rotting Chaos With New Animated Video "No Return" - Fourth Studio Album "Blood Bound" Out February 18th, 2025 via Extius Stratagem Records

Exitus Stratagem Records announces their signing of Hungarian extreme metal masters SIN OF GOD for their fourth studio album "Blood Bound" out February 2025. Following their album "Aenigmata" released in 2016, "Blood Bound" has come a long way from its writing inception in 2019, and unfortunate setbacks with lineup changes and COVID to finally make its way to the studio in 2022/23 with the mixing and mastering done by the super-talented Sam Winslow in 2024.

With influences in thrash, ODM, and blackened and progressive death metal, Sin of God's next sacrificial offering will please both old and new-school death metal fans at the same time. This new full-length presents a collection of variations that exhibit brutality and softness. It is something fans have heard in the past from the band but it has never sounded like this.

"We all think fans will love it. It’s somewhat different from its predecessors. It’s more complex and based on modern death metal. We built Blood Bound musically on contrasts. There are amazingly fast parts (260 BPM,) but really slow parts as well." adds guitarist Tamás Kis.

Exploring our present society, "Blood Bound" resonates with everything surrounding us, from the good and the bad to the beautiful and ugly, to life and death.

"We are in decline and we haven’t got much time before we hit the bottom. There is less and less beauty in our present world. We are rapidly marching towards the rotting chaos. People do nothing about it. They destroy but do not build. So let it be! As you look at our album artwork, it is metaphorically based on humanity’s current state in the light of human history. We wanted it to be realized in the style of Renaissance paintings therefore the contrast is extremely sharp between beauty and uglyness. Pure and evil. Perfect and deformed. There are also religious references, and Biblical characters, too." says Kis.

"Blood Bound" is not a concept album, but it is united by the pain and rage that boils inside and felt over seven tracks that are simple and raw, yet ferocious and gentle. To give fans their first experience with the album, Sin of God is unveiling the first single "No Return" accompanied by an animated video. The song is about a person who cannot get rid of drugs and sacrifices everything is going to hell.

    The band comments:

"No Return is our favorite song on Blood Bound. It is the essence of what we want to express musically and lyrically as well. The fall of our present society. That’s what it’s all about. Our vocalist Tamás Schupkégel wrote the lyrics. On first hearing it is about a drug addict descending into madness, falling into his very own hell which he created from the many pains he experienced and committed towards others during his life. We consume, we devour, we destroy. We create non-existent problems for ourselves while not dealing with the real ones. It's so comfortable. Sticking our heads in the sand. Only our comfort is important. We are addicted to our ego. While the trees and waters disappear and only the sand remains. The emptiness. The loneliness. The pain. We build our hell. And there is no return!”

Watch and listen to the video from "No Return" via its premiere on Slam Worldwide.

  • Exitus Stratagem Records - The Metal World Lost A Pinnacle Brother - VORAATH Drummer Joshua Ward Passes Away At 37

The metal community is mourning the sad news of drummer, composer, and storyteller Joshua Nassaru Ward (age 37) who passed away on New Year's Eve night December 31st after his car with him, his fiance Amanda Lynn Leroux, and two friends, Audrey Ross and Jade Burton were struck by a drunk driver on Cooley Bridge Road in Belton, South Carolina. Ward leaves behind a young son Kai. A GoFundMe has been created to aid in funeral costs, please donate at https://www.gofundme.com/f/remembering-josh-ward-music-and-martial-arts

Ward was a pinnacle force in the Carolina metal scene known for his musical adventures in Enthean, Rapheumets Well, Xael, Olkoth, and Voraath (Exitus Stratagem Records) along with being a drum tech for bands NILE, and Terrorizer plus being endorsed by Los Cabos Drumsticks and Saluda Cymbals. He had a strong passion for drumming, sci-fi lore, directing videos, martial arts, and giving back to the community with his recent humanitarian efforts delivering aid during recent floods. His memory will be forever cherished by his family and extended metal family across the United States and beyond. He was a beloved friend to all. His genuine generosity and to lead with kindness to all were one of his most beloved characteristics. Rest In Power m/m/ Drum Eternally On The Other Side!

Jason Fisher of Exitus Stratagem Records comments:

"It is with a heavy heart that the ExSR family reports that we have lost one of our own. Joshua Ward, the drummer and creative genius behind the band, Voraath passed away in an automobile accident on December 31st. This news comes as a harsh blow to everyone who knew him professionally and personally. Besides his stellar work with Voraath, he had also been spending time with us, putting in extra work at the label. We will miss Joshua for many reasons, from his inexhaustible imagination and passion for Voraath and its universe to his kindness and his infectious laugh. Voraath was in the process of recording new music and was about to unleash an entirely new webpage of lore for their universe. We will work with the band as they decide their next steps. A friend of Joshua’s has set up a GoFundMe page to help defray the expenses of Joshua’s funeral. We at ExSR will miss our friend and colleague."

Transporting you through a portal of sci-fi storytelling and extreme music, VORAATH unleashed their first full-length “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” in June 2024 on Exitus Stratagem Records (EXSR). Brutal yet epic metal, the level of detail that VORAATH has emphasized on this record exposes a grand story of interdimensional worlds and cosmic entities warring while paying homage to their culture in the Appalachian Mountains of the Carolinas.

"This album is an investment of thought and emotion. We want to immerse the listener in another world. It’s heavy yet sad, brutal yet immersive, so we hope to take everyone on a journey. That journey is scored with metal! We think this album will be something unique, a whirlwind of emotions and an auditory odyssey. We capsulated real events in our lives and laced them through our complex musical universe. We want the fans to feel the music, and ride along with us on this musical journey through our dystopian planet." adds the band.

An odyssey of hardship, betrayal, survival, and cosmic tales, “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” is recommended for fans of Septic Flesh, Gojira, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, and is available at the following links:

  • Out Now! VORAATH Journey Into Extreme Storytelling And Craft A Metal Multiverse In “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” + Tour Dates w/ Gorgatron, Casket Robbery

Voraath - L-R - Tylor Kohl - Guitar, Paul McBride - Bass, Joshua Ward - Drums, Keys, Vocals, Studio Guitars, Chelsea Marrow - Vocals, Daniel Presnell - Guitar

Prepare for a sonic descent into the unknown as USA’s Voraath unleashes their debut album “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” - a heavy and immersive experience through extreme music and sci-fi themes. In this release, they infused their enthusiasm for 80’s action sci-fi with their passion for brutal yet epic metal with hints of their own culture which includes haunting folk elements. They explain further:

“We think this album will be something unique, a whirlwind of emotions and an auditory odyssey. We capsulated real events in our lives and laced them through our complex musical universe. We want the fans to feel the music, and ride along with us on this musical journey through our dystopian planet. Their story will take an unforeseen turn as they encounter interdimensional horrors and bestow the moniker of god hunters.”

Voraath is proud of the level of detail that this album represents; from the duality of brutal yet melancholic soundscapes to the intricate lore which expands from the Appalachian mountains to the furthest regions of the cosmos. Being sci-fi enthusiasts they wanted to tell a grand story with cosmic entities warring and interdimensional worlds while paying homage to their culture in the Appalachian Mountains.

Voraath's lore, created from scratch, presents a seemingly simple dystopian survival story that unveils cosmic implications as one delves deeper. The band's commitment to their narrative is evident in their songwriting process, with each member contributing their unique specialties to shape the final product. Get ready to embark on a metal journey like no other.

This is an odyssey of hardship, betrayal, and survival that leads us to discoveries with cosmic implications. It is recommended for fans of Septic Flesh, Gojira, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.
