  Featuring headliner Boston's PowerGlove, the very beloved instrumental power metal cover band will present a night of nostalgic tributes to retro video game and television themes. The band released their latest EP, "The Super Smash Bros," in August 2024. Listen at https://spoti.fi/4b2wcvJ​

  They are joined by the Pacific Northwest's Glyph, which is not just a heavy metal band; they are a crew of intergalactic mercenaries escaping a dying planet in their spaceship, the VSS Dragonlord. Clearly, Glyph isn’t just writing songs; they’re building worlds, and they bring it forth in their latest album "Honor, Power, Glory," released in March 2024.

  Formed in 2020 during a time in which plague stalked the land and time lost all meaning, the core of Owlbear is comprised of North American scene veterans Katheryn Scary (vocals), Jeff Taft (guitars), and Leona Hayward (bass), all of whom hail from different corners of the continent. The band made their live debut at the sold-out Legions of Metal festival in Chicago in 2024 in support of their debut album "Chaos to the Realm" (2023) (Alone Records). Musically, Owlbear draws influence from classic heavy and speed metal and roots their lyrics in the media its members love, from the famous role-playing game that inspired the band’s namesake to the Final Fantasy franchise. Dynamic vocals, frenetic riffing, and bass that are equal parts pummeling and acrobatic drive the band’s relentless approach, and with the imminent release of their sophomore album "Feather & Claw" on February 28th, 2025 via Alone Records, Owlbear aims to continue to carve out its niche within the heavy metal community with a savage swipe of a plumed talon.

  Hailing from Philadelphia, Empress is a symphonic power metal quintet that loves weaving grand tales over catchy and triumphant symphonic soundscapes. Their critically acclaimed debut album, titled “Fateweaver,” released in August 2022, which renowned mixing and mastering engineer Dan Swanö has characterized as one of his best works in melodic metal, carefully entwines musical universes and invites you to follow your imagination and fantasy. Among Empress’ remarked past live performances, it is worth mentioning their album release show at Mad With Power Fest in Madison, WI, on the release day of “Fateweaver”, as well as having shared the stage with bands such as Oceans of Slumber, Seven Spires, and Grim Reaper on their journey to conquering the symphonic metal stronghold with sophistication.

  GREYHAWK, with new singer Anthony Corso at the helm, is ready to bring the power with what will surely be their best performance at Mile High Power Fest! Anyone who has seen this traditional heavy metal titan knows they are in for an incredible set. Their newest album, "Thunderheart," released in April 2024 on Fighter Records, a division of Xtreem Music, has been making waves across the heavy metal and power metal scenes worldwide.

  Local hometown heroes, Denver's Celestial Wizard brings a mix of fantasy and heavy metal to the table, giving you a front-row seat to a sci-fi experience unlike any other! The band has been blazing new trails with their aggressive, powerful sound. Pulling from both power metal and death metal, they achieve a melodic, high-intensity mix that hits just right. Their third studio “Regenesis,” was released on July 11th by Scarlet Records. Check out the album's opening track, “Pale Horse”. The song teases the concept of endings and beginnings that is ever present throughout the record.

  Also supporting the lineup will be Denver's blackened pagan power metal Oak, Ash & Thorn, who released their latest album "Our Grief Is Thus" in April 2024 on Lost Future Records. The album is a powerful, unique sound that is fully their own, as melodic and memorable as it is heavy and crushing. Now, Oak, Ash & Thorn are taking the next step in their journey by signing with Season of Mist. As they continue to tour in support of their latest album, the band will begin writing what’s bound to be a highly anticipated follow-up.

  To open the festival's night, the winners of the 2024 Battle of the Bands for the festival will be Denver locals Viperwitch and Signs of Tranquility. Make sure to come early to the fest to cheer on the local winners!

  Vallorch continues their evolution through folk and symphonic metal with “Hellpath”, their brand-new single and official live video taken from the acclaimed album "The Circle" (out via Rockshots Records). Shot during the band’s 2025 Italian Tour at Obscene Valhalla, the performance captures Vallorch’s intense stage presence and emotional depth, directed and edited by Simone D’Addazio (@morksar) with additional camera work by Ivan Castelli (Ivan Lionsoul).

  With its evocative mix of crushing riffs, folk instrumentation, and fierce, emotive vocals, "Hellpath" transforms ancient myth into a deeply personal reflection on life’s hardest questions. The track draws inspiration from the Cimbrian tale “The 99 Paths of Hell”, where a man must outwit the devil to save his soul — a tale Vallorch reimagines as a metaphor for life’s endless crossroads: regret, anxiety, identity, and the fear of being forgotten.

  Lyrically and musically, the song is one of the band’s most introspective works to date. Harsh vocals embody the voice of the devil—or perhaps one’s inner demons—while solemn folk melodies evoke a dance through fire. Despite its darkness, the song offers resilience: a call to keep walking, even through flame, and to stay true to oneself in a world of uncertainty.

  "Hellpath" shines as one of the most powerful moments on "The Circle", an album that explores the many faces of the night: its solitude and celebration, its fears and freedoms. Vallorch’s unique blend of folk, symphonic, death, and power metal, along with their deep connection to Alpine mythology and Cimbrian heritage, sets them apart in the modern metal landscape.

  The story of a man who, after realizing he’s died, pleads that it wasn’t his time yet, and as his pleas fall on non-existent ears, he comes to discover that everyone will be forgotten in the end. “Briars” exemplifies the band's commitment to creating tasteful juxtapositions between the visceral and the beautiful.   After marking their return with the spiritually-charged “Emmaus”, Italian Christian Catholic metal veterans Metatrone unveil their new single “Facsimile”, the second track from their upcoming fifth studio album set for release in 2026.

  “Facsimile” is more than just a song - it’s a powerful manifesto against artistic conformity and imitation. Musically, the track blends razor-sharp riffs, progressive arrangements, and melodic choruses, channeling the band’s signature power-prog style with an aggressive thrash edge.

  Written by founding duo David Brown and Stefano “Ghigas” Calvagno, the track openly challenges the rise of tribute culture and invites musicians to embrace their true selves, creatively and spiritually.

  Keyboardist David Brown comments:

  “This song challenges artists to invest in themselves with honesty and originality, without resorting to imitation. As Jesus says in John 8:32, ‘The truth will set you free.’ We believe that truth lies in embracing your uniqueness.”

• THIRTEEN GOATS' New Music Video Invites Fans To Their "Animal Kingdom" Ahead of Festival Blitz at Loud As Hell, Mosh Rock, Party in the Park

  Set to kick off their festival blitz with their first performance on August 3rd at Loud As Hell Open Air in Drumheller, AB alongside Revocation, Insurrection, Gorepig, Cyborg Octopus, Squidhammer, Beguiler, and lots more, Vancouver’s genre-bending metal juggernaut Thirteen Goats is welcoming fans to enter their "Animal Kingdom" with their latest music video featuring guest vocals from Carly Ellen Jones.

  The closing track from the band's latest album, "Capricorn Rising" (released in July 2024 via Exitus Stratagem Records), "Animal Kingdom" is the biggest musical risk that the band has taken yet. It starts out with an unsettling pattern of clean, arpeggiated chords, before a wall of cascading guitar melodies and haunting clean vocals crash in for the verses.

  From there, ominous grooves and wailing leads build up to a cathartic duet between Jones and lead singer Graham K. Miles, which shifts into a ferociously heavy climax and an angular final riff that terminates in a single bass note reminiscent of an atomic bomb going off. Not only is it a fitting conclusion to the record, but it’s a sign of how the band’s sound will likely continue to evolve on future releases.

  The music video shows the band members performing a summoning ritual that ends with them falling under the spell of the demon they conjured (played by Jones). 

  “It's classic be-careful-what-you-wish-for stuff,” says Miles. “In that sense, it’s thematically true to the subject matter of the song, which is a warning about the seductive appeal of extremist movements and the consequences of becoming radicalized.”

  Miles, who also directed the video, said he was heavily inspired by the works of filmmaker David Lynch, who passed away in early 2025. “His art was fantastical and surreal,” Miles says, “but it was always about real and contemporary issues under the surface. We’re aiming in the same direction with this video and this record.”
