"‘Fangoria’ takes its name from the American horror and cult film magazine of the same name," explains Mr. Lordi. "It was my favourite magazine of the 80's and 90's. Monsters, horror stories, movies, and especially the articles on costume design SFX were the big thing for me. I have long wanted to do a song of the matter and pay tribute to the best magazine of my Youth, which certainly has its part to play among the influences that later would become a worldwide phenomenon. Right in the intro there's also a reference to the 'Back To The Future' film series. The more observant true fans might quickly guess what it's all about!“
...To sum up: the song is Mr. Lordi’s nostalgia trip back to his Youth when Mr. Lordi - a lifelong fan of horror and sci-fi genres - was a subscriber to the magazine, drawing inspiration from every page.
