A solo metal project created by Blake Lamoureux out of Des Moines, Iowa. Sonically Ophidian Memory uses a base of melodic death metal to add and blend multiple sub genres together including black metal, thrash, progressive metal, and metalcore. Each album tells of tales based in a fictional universe where beings of light and dark are entwined in constant conflict as they plot to destroy humanity, eachother, and Existence. Carrion Lord is a prequel to previous releases and marks a huge expansion in lore, set over one thousand years before the events of The Stag and Our Shattered Garden. Introduced are the main influential factions in the human realm known as The Kerberos and The Luminary as well as the characters within them that lead a great chain of causes and effects. In addition, new and returning ancient deities and seraphs that have only been mentioned before will make reprises and revelations
