With these words, Marco Rinaldi launched Rimmar, his visionary solo project. After the cosmic first single Planet Mars, today the journey continues with "Unreal", accompanied by this brand new Visualizer.
"Unreal" brings a new emotional layer to the upcoming album Raises (out on July 4th, 2025 via Rockshots Records). The song explores themes of purification and transformation through an immersive soundscape where powerful riffs, layered synths, and electronic textures flow together.
The water motif, which plays a major role throughout the album, takes center stage here—representing the cleansing of illusions and the start of a new chapter.
As Rinaldi explains: “The water motif, present and massive in the economy of the album, has a purifying connotation in the world of Unreal.”

Rimmar is not a conventional band, but a one-man artistic vision shaped entirely by Marco Rinaldi. Every track starts from a riff or rhythm and evolves into a fully orchestrated arrangement, blending metal, electronica, and progressive influences. The lyrics are drawn from literature, philosophy, and vivid dreams—“The word is a servant of music in my case.”, as Rinaldi says.
The album Raises also features special guest performers from the Italian metal scene, including Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Angra), Kyo Calati, Marco Andreotti, Mattia Fagiolo, and Alessandro Cola.
On stage, Rimmar becomes a full live band, delivering a performance where metal energy meets the visual and rhythmic pulse of electronic dance.
