Artist Bio: Scott and Brandon are longtime friends who once played together in Medford, Oregon’s Drunken Public in 2001 and Useless Figures in 2002. By 2011, Scott had relocated to the Portland area and co-founded Not Sure. After that band’s second drummer left town, Bradley responded to a Craigslist ad and took over that spot.
Not Sure broke up in the fall of 2013, but Scott and Bradley continued collaborating. They decided to give it another go four years later and started working on new material.
Brandon moved back to Portland from Washington in the summer of 2018, and the final lineup of Robots Building Robots was in place. The band did a series of shows throughout Portland in 2019 and started working on its debut album, 'Dysphoria', in 2020.
Our influences include everything from classic rock acts like The Who and the Rolling Stones to 90s Seattle bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains, to SoCal punk bands like Social Distortion and L7.
