Late Megadeth drummer Nick Menza's unearthed drum riffs - an expected 13 tracks, touted as "the heaviest and fastest drum material Nick ever created" - will be produced by David Ellefson.
David Ellefson has stated in this brand new, two-minute video clip:
Hey, everybody, David Ellefson here. Just wanted to let you know about a new crowdfunding opportunity involving this David Ellefson signature Jackson bass. We're actually recording some new riffs and parts to some brand new existing Nick Menza drum riffs.
So posthumously, we're actually forming a new band with Nick. I got a handful of different people from our industry around the world participating in this and I'm going to be writing some new riffs and some new things.
More information on how you can get this signature, autographed and personalized bass from Jackson guitars, which has been donated as part of this new opportunity. "This Was My life: The Story of Nick Menza" documentary film coming your way soon. Step up, and help support the cause. And I think you're going to enjoy the story. The bass being used during that process will also be autographed and personalized after purchase.
In conjunction with the announcement of Ellefson's attachment to the film, an Indiegogo campaign has since been launched to raise funding for the completion of the film. Fans have the opportunity to support the production of the film directly, as well as obtain some very rare official Megadeth touring memorabilia. These items include various touring laminates personally owned, and authentically signed by Nick himself and David Ellefson.
In addition to memorabilia, fans can purchase brand new Nick Menza merchandise including hats, posters, and even Nick Menza skateboard decks. Fans can even have their names and a message added to the end credits of the film.
The campaign is scheduled to end Monday, November 15th and can be found at this location https://igg.me/at/thiswasmylife
