“LIMB FROM LAMB” is the single and music video accompanying TO THE GRAVE’s album LIBERATION FRONT. Released October 2, 2026, through BLKIIBLK, the Australian band’s album is available digitally for streaming and purchase.
Bassist Matt Clarke discusses the song’s development in the release announcement supplied by Freeman Promotions. His account describes a track whose inclusion remained uncertain while recording was underway, with vocalist Dane Evans’ lyric arrangement and delivery becoming central to the finished version.
“'LIMB FROM LAMB' was the song that probably changed the most in the recording process. Until it was done, I wasn’t sure it would even make the cut for the album. It really took Dane’s lyric arrangement and vocal delivery to make it shine,” Clarke says.
He describes its pacing in relation to the preceding singles: “It's a bit of a change of pace from the previous singles, this one is slow (for us), brooding and heavy”.
The announcement identifies LIBERATION FRONT as TO THE GRAVE’s fifth album and their first for BLKIIBLK. Evans says the initial concept involved making a sequel to Director’s Cuts, although his description of the resulting record also draws a connection to Everyone’s A Murderer.
“What came out was something between that and a more pissed off brother to 'Everyone’s A Murderer.' It’s got so many things I love about the band and a bit of everything pushed to 100 with a really bleak kind of aggression that’s just reaching for your throat the entire time,” Evans says in the announcement.
Evans also explains the album’s lyrical intent through its title: “The band is built around our way of doing things and to me this title is just waving that flag. These songs are about direct action, open rescue, abolition and liberation by any means necessary.”
“LIMB FROM LAMB” is the seventh song on the album. The announced ten-track running order is:
- MEAT THE HUMANS
- NAIL MARY
- TORTURE PORN
- EYESTALK ABLATIONS
- LIFE AMONG THE SEPTICS
- CALF SLICER
- LIMB FROM LAMB
- YOU KNOW THE DRILL
- TERRORFIRE
- THE WORLD IS A SLAUGHTERHOUSE
The announcement lists TO THE GRAVE’s lineup as Dane Evans on vocals, Jack Simioni and Nic Webb on guitar, Matt Clarke on bass, and Connor Kingdom on drums.
