An official music video accompanies LITA FORD’s new single “Dracula,” out now through Frontiers Music Srl. The guitarist and vocalist describes its central entity as a figure of seduction and control, with slide guitars playing a part in that characterization.

Speaking about the track, LITA FORD says: “‘Dracula’ is a song about an entity that represents seduction and control, eventually draining you of your life and everything in it. But there’s something fun about flirting with disaster, making ‘Dracula’ a playful fantasy. The moaning slide guitars take on a life force all their own. Menacing!”

Gary Hoey produced the single, and Max Norman handled the mix. LITA FORD and Hoey performed on the recording alongside Bobby Rock on drums. The release follows her recent signing to Frontiers Music Srl, with the announcement presenting “Dracula” as a preview of what is to come in 2027.

The announcement also lists two special Halloween weekend shows:

  • Friday, October 30 — Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV
  • Saturday, October 31 — Agua Caliente Resort Casino, Rancho Mirage, CA

LITA FORD began her career in 1976 as lead guitarist of The Runaways, the all-female rock band whose songs include “Cherry Bomb” and “Queens of Noise.” Following the group’s breakup in 1979, she pursued a solo career, releasing Out for Blood in 1983.

Her 1984 follow-up, Dancin’ on the Edge, earned a Grammy nomination and included “Gotta Let Go.” The multi-platinum Lita, released in 1988, featured “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever,” her duet with Ozzy Osbourne. Subsequent releases included Stiletto, Dangerous Curves, Black and Living Like a Runaway, with further Grammy nominations during her career.

Her guitar honors include the Guitar Player Lifetime Achievement Award, the Guitar Player Certified Legend Award and induction into the Guitar Player Hall of Fame. The She Rocks Awards recognized her as the First Lady of Rock Guitar in 2017.

Beyond her recordings, LITA FORD has appeared in film, television and video games. Her 2016 memoir, Living Like a Runaway, became a national bestseller, and her B.C. Rich Warlock guitar entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s permanent collection in 2021.
