  • CAVALERA - ANNOUNCE 'THIRD WORLD TRILOGY' U.S. TOUR!

CAVALERA has become synonymous with extreme metal music, a name that to this day still holds the highest regard, a family legacy built upon decades of musical aggression. In 2023, Max and Iggor Cavalera achieved what some would say was an impossible feat; they revisited their earliest releases, Morbid Visions, and Bestial Devastation, and re-recorded them with bone-breaking intensity. A risk that few would dare to even attempt, yet they artfully and prolifically attained their trademark raw sound by means that could only be described as magic or time travel.

Today, the band announce their 'Third World Trilogy' U.S. Tour. The 30-trek will kick off on February 19th at Queen B in Cottonwood, Arizona and will make stops in Seattle, Brooklyn, and Orlando before concluding at the Van Buren in Phoenix on March 30th. Joining the tour are Oakland death metallers NECROT and  California thrash/hardcore band DEAD HEAT.

Max Cavalera states, "We are really excited to bring the 'Third World Trilogy', featuring Schizophrenia, to the US! If you want to hear  fast riffs, pummeling drums, thunderous bass, and schizophrenic leads, jump in our pit!!"

Iggor Cavalera comments, “I’m super excited about this upcoming us tour, is one of those rare chances to see our first releases on our most purest form performed live. I hope to see you all in the pit!!! Don’t sleep on these dates. You have been warned. X”

CAVALERA pre-sale tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, December 17th at 10 AM local time (Code: RESTINPAIN).
General admission tickets go on sale on Friday, December 20th at 10 AM local time.

    * - No NECROT

No stranger to collaborations, the Cavalera brothers enlisted Travis Stone (PIG DESTROYER) on lead guitars, and that choice becomes obvious within the first song. The full lineup would consist of more Cavalera alumni, as Igor Amadeus Cavalera (GO AHEAD AND DIE, HEALING MAGIC) once more brought his talents on bass to the fold. Thundering and thrumming the low end with brute force, it is clear that the double Iggor and Igor combination is a rhythm section to be reckoned with.

It should come as no surprise that the CAVALERA brothers always felt that these songs deserved a fresh take with modern production. From April 15th to June 5th, 2023 the band re-recorded the album at Focusrite Room in Mesa, Arizona.
Mixing and mastering was handled by Arthur Rizk (SOULFLY, GO AHEAD AND DIE, TURNSTILE) and engineering was completed by
    John Aquilino.

Schizophrenia’s album cover has obsessed and fascinated fans for decades. The brothers left no stone unturned and no detail unnoticed, also revisioning the original cover artwork of the album, restored in hand-painted watercolors by Eliran Kantor

With the impressive catalog that the CAVALERA brothers have created over the years, you will soon see that Schizophrenia will also sit amongst their greatest achievements. Max and Iggor have relinquished an album that for many years was locked away behind rusty, iron cell doors, barred by straight jackets and haunted by madness. From the past comes the storms as Schizophrenia is set loose on the world once more!

  • Defeated Sanity Release Raging Double Guitar Playthrough

Around this time last year, before the underground legends descended one last time into Menegroth, The Thousand Caves, Defeated Sanity felt like they were in need of an adjustment. Over the past 30 years, no other band has hit on more ways to spin death metal on its deformed head. But instead of concocting another heady bludgeoning of jazz-infused chaos, they wanted to double-down on the neck-snapping brutality that fans love about their earliest classics.

Judging by the reaction to Chronicles of Lunacy, it's safe to say that Defeated Sanity delivered in skull-crushing spades. The band's new album cracked Billboard's Rock, Hard Music and Independent charts.

"There's something to love in everything Defeated Sanity has done, but I do think they may have veered a little too far on The Sanguinary Impetus for most listeners", Metal Injection wrote in their 9/10 review. "This is not a knock on Defeated Sanity but I think a recentering was definitely in order. And that's exactly what they accomplish on Chronicles of Lunacy".

"Instead of doubling down on immense, yet spectacular, complexity...they go for the jugular", wrote PopMatters, who voted Chronicles of Lunacy one of the best metal albums of the year.

As they gear up for their first headlining tour of Europe since 2018, today, Defeated Sanity are flexing their rabid technical chops with a double guitar playthrough of the album's most infectious deep cuts.

Watch guitarist Vaughn Stoffey and bassist Jacob Schmidt tear through "Extrinsically Enraged".

    https://youtu.be/ajW7PrLKmnc

Their new album speaks to one's inner caveman, but Chronicles of Lunacy isn't Defeated Sanity for dummies. Each song chews over the kind of individual thought patterns that can rot the human psyche, though "Extrinsically Enraged" wastes no time in hammering its point. "It's about contracting rabies", vocalist Josh Welshman says with a hearty laugh. Stoffey and Schmidt gnaw at their fretboards as if their mouths are foaming. Their squealing riffs and scurrying grooves will chew a hole through the toughest metalheads.

The third pressing of Chronicles of Lunacy is now available on Season of Mist.

    Order the limited-edition colored vinyl.

To celebrate Chronicles of Lunacy, Defeated Sanity are embarking on their first headlining tour of Europe in six years. They'll be performing songs off their brutal new album alongside Wisconsin's Putrid Pile and To Violently Vomit Forth, a tribute to Disgorge that features current and former members of the legendary BDM band.

Iniquitous Savagery, Strangle Wire, Asylum and Embryonic Devourment round out the two legs of this stacked bill.

None of their albums are ever going to follow a straight line, but on Chronicles of Lunacy, Defeated Sanity return to sheer brutality.

  • God Complex Sign With SharpTone Records + Share Video For New Single "Salt and Ash"

Beloved UK metal band GOD COMPLEX have returned with their vicious new single "Salt and Ash" and announced their signing to SharpTone Records.

On signing to their new label, the band comment:

"We’re thrilled to be working with SharpTone on this release. We have longstanding friendships with other bands on the label and have always been impressed with their vision and the support they’ve extended to our peers. We’re humbled to be part of such an amazing roster of artists and elated to start this new chapter for the band."

On their new single, the band continue:

"Salt and Ash begins with a reprise of the melody from Worthy Host that closed the album. We wanted to show that in one sense we’re picking up exactly where we left off and to tie the new songs to what came before. It was important that we respect our previous body of work but demonstrate that we’re not content to rest on our laurels and retread old ground, which is why the song immediately veers into absolute chaos. The title Salt and Ash evokes a terminus, the emptiness left behind when everything has been destroyed."

  • MOLOTOV SOLUTION Unleash Third & Final Chapter of Music Video Trilogy; “The Golden Tower”

Las Vegas deathcore titans Molotov Solution have released brand new track "The Golden Tower" today. The new single marks the climactic finale to the terrifying music video trilogy, made in partnership with Versa Films, that has heralded their return from a decade long hiatus. Clocking in at five minutes and 30 seconds, the new opus brings the band's most progressive and ambitious composition yet, serving as a thunderous conclusion to a series that began with the unrelenting “Devour the Children” and continued with the crushing “Mortis Imperium", delivering a visual and sonic experience that explores themes of ultimate power, greed, and the inevitable collapse of societal structures. Fans can stream "Golden Tower" HERE and watch the music video HERE

Speaking on the track, frontman Nick Arthur shares:

“‘The Golden Tower’ is the grand conclusion to our music video trilogy in partnership with Versa Films. It explores themes of ultimate power, greed, and the inevitable collapse of societal structures. This track stands apart from the visceral intensity of ‘Devour the Children’ and the relentless weight of ‘Mortis Imperium,’ introducing an epic, apocalyptic tone that reflects humanity's final descent. ‘The Golden Tower’ can be viewed as the most progressive song we’ve ever written, with dynamic compositions and sweeping heaviness that evoke the scale and inevitability of downfall. It is an emotional rollercoaster and a fittingly climactic end to the trilogy.”

Lyrically, “Golden Tower” delivers a stark reflection on humanity’s fragility, blending vivid storytelling with the band’s signature intensity. Lines such as “The tower sees all, it was built on lies / Golden bricks of deception, billions of eyes” expose the greed-driven, corruptively deceitful structures of modern society, while the track’s apocalyptic tone and dynamic compositions immerse listeners in the impending doom of societal collapse. Arguably the most ambitious of the three singles the band has released since their return, 'The Golden Tower' expands the boundaries of deathcore while staying rooted in the band’s unflinchingly veracious, politically charged ethos, giving fans a powerful statement that continues the band’s tradition of marrying relentless heaviness with thought-provoking themes.

This year has marked a triumphant return for Molotov Solution after a decade-long hiatus, with the trilogy of singles embodying the band’s renewed fire and uncompromising message:

    - “Devour the Children”: A brutal exploration of sacrifice and betrayal, inspired by Goya’s Saturn Devouring His Son.

    - “Mortis Imperium”: A cold, unrelenting take on systemic exploitation and the cycles of oppression.

    - “Golden Tower”: The apocalyptic conclusion, bringing a progressive and cinematic edge to their signature sound.

Experience the final episode of Molotov Solution’s ambitious, cinematic music video trilogy as they deliver expansive sonic and visual world building that once again shatters the boundaries of heavy music and confronts the darkest aspects of humanity. Be ready for more coming in 2025.

    ABOUT MOLOTOV SOLUTION

Molotov Solution returns in 2024, reawakened after a decade of silence with a renewed fire and an uncompromising vision. Known for their politically charged, ferociously heavy sound, the Las Vegas-based band is ready to reclaim their position at the forefront of extreme music. With a legacy built on confronting societal corruption, power struggles, and injustice, their return is a statement: the fight isn't over, and neither are they.

Molotov Solution’s 2011 album, Insurrection, is widely regarded as one of the most influential deathcore releases of its time,

shaping the genre for years to come. Sadly, the band went on indefinite hiatus after its release leaving a huge influence but a

gaping hole in deathcore genreOn November 1st, 204 they emerged from a decade-long hiatus with their powerful new single, “Devour The Children” a brutal and rageful statement of intent heralding the band's timely resurrection. Known for their fearless approach to exposing corruption and power struggles through their music, Molotov Solution’s voice is more vital than ever, delivering an unflinching soundtrack to the turbulent times we face with the fierce intent to challenge and resist.

Molotov Solution has always been more than just a deathcore band. They are a voice for those who resist, a sonic assault against the systems that oppress. As they step into this new chapter, they carry with them the same relentless energy that defined their past but with a sharpened edge and a deeper urgency. In a world that seems more chaotic and fractured than ever, their music is not just relevant—it is essential.

Fans can expect new music that continues to challenge listeners, both sonically and lyrically. Their signature blend of heavy, gut-punching riffs and politically infused messages will drive their upcoming releases, which promise to be as intense and confrontational as ever.

With new music and renewed determination, Molotov Solution are ready to unleash a new era of heavy music that will resonate with old fans and new alike.
