CONTRARIAN have made “Parts 1-4” available as the advance single from Escaping Depravity, due November 27, 2026 through Willowtip Records. An official visualizer titled “Escaping Depravity” accompanies the preview, which presents the first four parts of the forthcoming album.
The Rochester, New York band's sixth studio release consists of one continuous, approximately 30-minute track. The currently available single is an excerpt from that work; the complete track will become available when the album is released.
On their official Bandcamp release page, CONTRARIAN explain: “Parts 1-4 are released as the single for the album, once the album is released the full 30 minute track will be made available in full.” The single is currently available for streaming and digital download through Bandcamp.
The artist's album description places founding members Jim Tasikas and George Kollias at the center of a return to the band's roots. It identifies Escaping Depravity as CONTRARIAN's sixth studio release and describes its single-track format.
Willowtip Records will issue the album on vinyl, CD and digital formats. Bandcamp digital pre-orders include access to the single ahead of the complete album, while vinyl and CD pre-orders are listed as shipping on or around November 27, 2026.
