The complete 22-minute split mini-album from Greece’s EMBRACE OF THORNS and Chile’s INVOCATION is streaming through the Death Metal Promotion YouTube channel. Invoking the Noumenon / Crushing the Feeble Messianic Embrace contains six exclusive new tracks, divided equally between the two bands.
Iron Bonehead Productions announced an international release date of October 30, with CD and 12-inch vinyl editions. The full stream was shared ahead of that date.
EMBRACE OF THORNS open the split with two tracks of blackened, bestial death metal before a quieter outro bridges the two sides. The contribution reunites the band with Iron Bonehead and marks their first recorded work since 2022’s Entropy Dynamics. The announcement places this material within a catalog spanning nearly 30 years.
INVOCATION follow with three black/death tracks, described in the announcement in terms of hammering passages and a haunting, sepulchral atmosphere. Their previous record was the 2024 debut album The Archaic Sanctuary (Ritual Body Postures), which followed years of shorter releases.
The accompanying announcement also includes a passage in Greek, German and Spanish, using imagery of burning candles, melting souls and a pact sealed in dark devotion in the name of a new consciousness.
