  “Under The Moonlight” marks a pivotal moment in Quemasantos’ musical journey, signifying a bold new chapter in their artistic evolution. This track skillfully merges their signature thrash metal style with innovative musical elements, showcasing the band’s remarkable growth as artists. Notably, we had the privilege of collaborating with our esteemed friend Sebastian Osorio (Reigning) to contribute to the solo sections of the song.

   

   

  

   

  As always, Quemasantos has meticulously crafted every aspect of the track. Nelson Diaz meticulously designed the lyrics and concepts, while Ignacio Orellana at the renowned Oily Sound Studios handled the music production, recording, mixing, and mastering. This track exemplifies the band’s remarkable dynamic range and exceptional musicianship. Blistering guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and powerful, gritty vocals create an intense and captivating soundscape.

  “Under the moonlight, it's a reflection of a feeling of horror and despair, feeling like you could transform into a wild animal, losing your mind and endangering those you love.

  It's similar to moments of uncontrolled anger that cause some people to make mistakes they'll pay for the rest of their lives.”

  Emerging from Portland, OR's thriving metal underground, These Cursed Hands has unveiled a visually stunning new video for “Perihelion”, a track from their conceptual EP “Intelligent (RE)Design”, released in November 2024.

  These Cursed Hands continue to push the boundaries of modern metal, crafting a distinctive sound that seamlessly fuses black, progressive, core, death, and thrash metal elements. Their latest EP weaves a dark narrative of divine beings who, weary of humanity's existence, engineer a cybernetic fungal evolution through possessive spores. The theme draws inspiration from “The Terminator”, “The Last of Us”, and “Resident Evil” while incorporating themes from Norse mythology, Christianity, and Satanism. They comment on the track and the album:

  “Musically this album is a dynamic array of sounds and styles, featuring everything from melodic death and black metal to chunky deathcore and brutal death, with even some more ambient sections to haunt the listener. Perihelion is our most structurally complex song, moving between haunting ambiance, crushing death metal, and deathcore riffs.”

  These Cursed Hands has earned a reputation for their electrifying live performances, featuring programmed lighting, theatrical props, masks, and raw energy that transforms venues into apocalyptic landscapes. • Halifax Grunge Trio SIGSOUR Shares First Single "And It Goes" Off Upcoming Album "Apathetic Generation"

  Flourishing from a solo project shared on Soundcloud by Evan Jodrey (Guitar/Vocals), Halifax, Canada's SigSour has become a solid powerhouse trio bonded by Trey Gabriel (Bass/Vocals) and Quenny Stevens (Drums). The band is excited to announce the release of their first studio album entitled "Apathetic Generation," produced and mixed by Don Levandier (The Motorleague), due out later in 2025. The full-length follows their debut EP "Static" and Live Album "SigSour Live at Radstorm," both released in 2024.

  “Apathetic Generation” is a break the band needed to showcase all of what we are and can do. With each song telling a different story and having its unique vibe, we hope there's at least one song in the entire album that someone can relate to and head-bang to. We are super excited for our fans and people who have never heard of us to get the chance to hear something that we are very pleased to share," adds Jodrey.

  Melodic and catchy, with the music changing between punk, metal, and grunge, SigSour has become known in Canada's Maritimes as the band that keeps the energy crazy high, the crowd moving, and the eardrums bleeding. To preview what's to come from "Apathetic Generation", they are sharing the single "And It Goes", which was the first song tracked on the album. The song lyrically riffs between addiction and disingenuous people.

  Jodrey explains further:

  “The lyrics portray one’s life being mastered by addiction and constantly finding yourself in an endless cycle of pain and confusion. The release from all the pain is in the chorus, searching for answers amidst the struggle.”

• SYMBIOTIC GROWTH Unleash Progressive Death Album "Beyond The Sleepless Aether"; Mixed and Mastered by Tom Maclean (Haken, Athemon, Brutta)

  Canadian progressive blackened death unit Symbiotic Growth unleashes their sophomore album "Beyond The Sleepless Aether," now available as of March 28th, 2025. Similar to the band's predecessor, their 2020 self-titled full-length, "Beyond The Sleepless Aether," is once again based in fiction and is lyrically conceptual, but dives more into thoughts and emotions of everyday life, and sometimes those thoughts are hard to deal with.

  "I feel like this time around, the sound is a bit darker and experimental, with more synth-heavy sounds and a melancholy atmosphere. The lyrics were very loosely inspired by a dream I (Aaron) had about the multiverse theory intertwined with some of my challenges of dealing with a sense of being and why we are all here," says Aaron Barriault (Vocals, Guitar, Bass).

  Progressive, experimental, foreboding, and emotional, every song has its own identity and its place within the album's story, taking its protagonist through the multiverse, placing him in places like dark wooded forests, wide open desert landscapes, and the unending cosmos.

  The full-length listening experience tackles strong topics of loneliness, a sense of being, self-hatred, and suicide. Some of these are blatant and easy to see, and others subtly, throughout the course of the album, lyrically and musically.

  "I think the fans who have heard our previous album may be a bit surprised; the sound of this album is a bit different; it's a little bit more experimental in its own way. Either way, we hope that fans enjoy what we've created. I feel like the listener may have feelings of uneasiness and wonder. An odd combination, but I feel like it's fitting.

  Mixed and mastered by Tom Maclean (Twelve Tone Studio, Haken, Athemon, Brutta), "Beyond The Sleepless Aether", features seven paryalzing sounds of technical metal created by the Sudbury, ON recording line up of Aaron Barriault (Vocals, Guitar, Bass), Devin Mcqueen (Vocals, Guitar), and Dan Favot (Drums)(ex-Wolven Ancestry, ex-Fractal Generator). The artwork was created by Erskine Designs and shows an entity standing at the foot of what the band likes to think of as Azathoth.

  "The album doesn't touch on any Lovecraftian mythos (maybe a bit in The Sleepless Void), but the lore behind Azathoth, that we are all in his dream and once he wakes everything will cease to be, is very fitting to the album lyrically," adds Barriault.
