For NINE TREASURES, their first US tour is an opportunity to share their music and Mongolian culture with American audiences while performing alongside bands they admire. The Chinese Mongolian progressive metal group is supporting Mushroomhead and Fear Factory on The Soul Of A New War Machine Tour, which opened October 13, 2026, at Toad’s Place in New Haven, Connecticut, and concludes November 11 at Basement East in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We’re very excited and grateful for the opportunity to tour in the United States. It has such a deep rock and metal culture, and many of the bands that inspired us come from there,” the band comments. “We’re also honored to share the stage with Mushroomhead and Fear Factory. It means a lot to bring our music and culture to American fans, and we’re looking forward to sharing the energy and spirit of NINE TREASURES with everyone on this tour.”

The dates follow the October 24, 2025, release of Seeking The Absolute through Metal Blade Records. The album is the band’s first record for the label and its first LP to receive a worldwide release.

Vocalist and guitarist Askhan formed NINE TREASURES in 2010 in Inner Mongolia, China. The group combines guitars, bass and drums with traditional Mongolian instrumentation, conventional vocals and Mongolian throat singing. Its arrangements incorporate balalaika and morin khuur, or horsehead fiddle, while Askhan brings Mongolian playing techniques and songwriting approaches to his guitar work. The music ranges from direct heavy metal to more atmospheric progressive passages.

The announcement describes a band with four albums and an established live schedule in Asia, playing more than 100 festival appearances and headline shows annually to audiences of up to 50,000.

Askhan describes Seeking The Absolute as an exploration of discovery and reflection: “On Seeking The Absolute, we tried to capture the things that truly excite us deep inside; those unforgettable moments when your mind swings wide open to infinite possibilities.” He adds, “You open a brand-new realm for yourself, unfamiliar, yet incredibly thrilling. At the same time, it’s like an enormous puzzle, and to complete it, you also need calm reflection and meticulous analysis. That’s why we look upon it as ‘seeking the absolute.’”

NINE TREASURES take their name from objects referenced in ancient Mongolian poems. Their music, lyrics and visuals draw on the mythology and fairy tales of their homeland, alongside more personal themes. Askhan, a practicing Buddhist, explains that the title track concerns faith and the search for the ultimate truth of the universe.

“That’s something I’ve personally been striving for in recent years so in many ways, this song is a message to myself. A kind of self-encouragement. But I also hope it can bring strength to others, too,” he says.
