Alexis Bos Freire directs the official music video for SONS OF STEEL’s new single Toxin, with Juan Carlos González starring. The track is out now via Art Gates Records.
Carlos Alvarado handled the video’s cinematography, filming, editing, colour grading and sound design in collaboration with Mola Media.
The announcement identifies the tension of the film Crank as the inspiration for Toxin. Musically, the single combines heavy, low-end riffs with synthesizers and a fast, frenetic approach that sustains the song’s sense of pressure.
Its lyrics examine the boundary between sanity and madness, and how that distinction changes with the observer’s perspective. The subject unfolds through a mind in which perception becomes poisoned and control begins to slip.
Raúl and Tomás Perona composed Toxin. Alberto Seara produced, recorded, mixed and mastered the track at Cube Estudios.
