Alicia Cordisco has outlined the label partnership accompanying her return to JUDICATOR. The guitarist and co-founder, who rejoined in 2026 after a six-year absence, addressed the band's signing to independent U.S. label Nameless Grave Records as the group prepares two releases tentatively planned for 2027.
An EP of original songs is planned for early 2027. JUDICATOR are also working on their eighth studio album, which remains untitled and is tentatively scheduled for later in 2027 through Nameless Grave.
Cordisco said: "We could not be more thrilled to sign with Nameless Grave for our upcoming eighth album, and this new era of the band. We've been fortunate to work with many labels over the years such as Prosthetic, Divebomb, Alone, and Black Lion, but with my coming back to the band and we imagined finding a new home and the right fit would not be an easy task. Enter Nameless Grave, a label whose work I've been following for years and has been home to so many exciting newer bands as well as classic re-releases in my favorite areas of heavy metal music, and the partnership truly feels as serendipitous as the band's own founding!"
The announcement follows The Elector, an EP of re-recordings released earlier in 2026 with accompanying videos to introduce the new lineup. The EP is available to stream or download on Bandcamp. JUDICATOR also performed at Grillfest in Midvale, Utah, in September 2026.
Singer John Yelland and Cordisco formed JUDICATOR after meeting at a Blind Guardian concert in 2012. Their concept albums explore existential anxiety and life's struggles and triumphs. Across seven albums, the band's musical foundation draws on the 1980s and 1990s power metal of Blind Guardian, Helloween and Running Wild, alongside progressive influences including Fates Warning, Queensryche and Opeth. The announcement also describes a decade and a half of live performances.
The current lineup comprises John Yelland on vocals; Alicia Cordisco and Chad Anderson on rhythm and lead guitar; Dayton Andersen on rhythm guitar; Mike Lofgreen on drums; and Francisco Pérez on keys and orchestration.
