IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS will bring their November 2026 US tour to The Wood Shop in Brooklyn on November 15. The Denver sludge/doom trio's fifteen-date itinerary runs from November 5 in Rapid City, South Dakota, through November 21 in Lawrence, Kansas, with tickets on sale now, according to the announcement supplied by EARSPLIT PR.

The band continues to support A Crack In Everything, its independently released 2025 album. The announcement also includes the previously released video for “A Patchwork Art.”

For guitarist/vocalist Grant Netzorg, the Northeastern dates address a long-standing gap in the band's touring history. “We're very happy to finally be making our way out to the Northeast, and at the same time, kind of embarrassed that it has taken us this long!” he says. “We have been active for fifteen years but have only played one show that was even in the same time zone, so we're stoked to finally be making it out there.”

Netzorg recalls spending time in the region personally, although the band had never properly toured there. “We had an extensive run planned for 2020 in support of Lux, but we all know how everyone's plans turned out that year!”

A Crack In Everything, the band's fifth full-length, addresses depression, addiction and personal struggle while retaining elements of the occult and esoteric themes explored in earlier material. Netzorg says its title comes from Leonard Cohen's “Anthem,” from The Future, specifically the line, “There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in.”

“I wrote it during and after a losing battle with alcohol, and a lot of this deals with the despair and darkness I discovered in that time,” Netzorg explains. He describes trying to remain creatively active through worsening depression, with the band eventually drawing songs from that material. “This album often deals with horrors of crippling addiction, but there are glimpses of the way out through personal transformation.” His account also connects that transformation to his responsibilities as a father and husband.

The album was recorded at World Famous Studios in Denver, Colorado, with engineer Pete deBoer. All songs were tracked to tape through a vintage Neve console. Tattoo artist Mike Lawrence created the artwork, and the record is available on CD, vinyl and digital formats.

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS began in 2011 as a duo featuring Netzorg and drummer JJ Anselmi, author of Doomed To Fail and Heavy. They recorded the debut that year and released it in early 2012; Anselmi subsequently moved to California to pursue teaching and writing. Netzorg continued the project as its music expanded beyond its initial sludge/doom focus.

The band's five-LP catalog includes Lux (2020) and A Crack In Everything (2025). The announcement notes that each was the only DIY release included in Decibel Magazine's annual top-album rankings for its respective release year.
