Material from DISOBEY and N.A.T.I.O.N., alongside new songs from Born To Survive, forms the announced performance plan for WITH A VENGEANCE's October 28 co-headliner with 40 BELOW SUMMER at The Webster in Hartford, Connecticut. The October 15 press announcement billed the pairing with the New Jersey nu-metal band as a one-night event and reported tickets on sale through the band's website.
WITH A VENGEANCE reunites founding BAD WOLVES vocalist Tommy Vext and guitarist Chris Cain. Their debut EP, Born To Survive, carries an October 30, 2026 release date, with distribution by Vydia. The Hartford date sits within the band's headlining U.S. tour, which launched October 14 in Little Rock.
The announcement also includes the official video for “Oblivion,” the first single from Born To Survive. Released October 2, the song combines groove metal, rhythmic vocals drawing on early-2000s rap metal, and a melodic chorus. Its lyrics address mental health and the relationship between patients and psychiatric medicine, including informed consent, responsible treatment and unintended consequences.
“Oblivion is about questioning what happens when something intended to help starts creating consequences of its own,” Vext says. “It’s a serious subject, but we didn’t want to preach — we wanted to make a heavy, aggressive song with a massive chorus and let the video take the idea somewhere completely unhinged.”
Michael Levine directed the video. Joe Letz of LINDEMANN plays a mad scientist who captures, tortures and biologically reengineers the members of WITH A VENGEANCE, translating the song's subject into a fictional horror scenario.
Matt Guglielmo, identified in the announcement as THE ACACIA STRAIN's drummer and a producer for the band, produced Born To Survive. PERIPHERY vocalist Spencer Sotelo handled vocal production. Ashley Von Helsig, whose supplied credits include SLIPKNOT and MARILYN MANSON, photographed the cover art.
Vext and Cain are joined by drummer Austin D’Amond, guitarist Xander Raymond Charles and bassist Kevin Creekman. D’Amond's background includes DEVILDRIVER and CHIMAIRA; Creekman's includes PEYTON PARRISH and BAD WOLVES.
The announcement describes WITH A VENGEANCE's musical approach as modern hard rock incorporating metalcore influences, groove and melody. Charles contributes groove-driven riffs and djent-inspired textures. The supplied background also connects Vext and Cain's earlier work to the multi-platinum BAD WOLVES hit “Zombie.”
