An animated lyric video accompanies MOTÖRHEAD’s ‘Built For Speed,’ the second single from Cameron Webb’s new remix of Orgasmatron. Created by Lee Gregory at ILoveMotion, the video follows the title track and video released when the anniversary edition was announced on September 24.

The track brings Lemmy’s bass and vocals back into focus within Webb’s remix of the complete album, made from the original multitracks. That remix forms part of Orgasmatron 40th Anniversary Edition, due November 6, 2026, through BMG.

Webb approached the recordings with the original production’s character in mind. Producer Bill Laswell and engineer Jason Corsaro’s work remained a reference point as he returned to the 24-track tapes, particularly their treatment of the drums.

“I love the fact that the original is wild and a little messy,” Webb says. “I wanted to be respectful to what Jason Corsaro and Bill Laswell created, rather than simply trying to make it sound like a modern heavy metal record.”

The decision to commission the remix grew out of discussions within the MOTÖRHEAD team about the original production. In the announcement, the team acknowledge Laswell’s distinctive approach while explaining that Lemmy and Phil Campbell felt some of the recording’s power, bite and energy had been lost in the final mix. They invited Webb, who had helmed six MOTÖRHEAD studio albums, to offer another interpretation alongside the original.

Webb says his choices also drew on his experience of working with the musicians: “Lemmy and Phil both said they didn’t like the original mix, so I thought about what they might have asked me to do if they were sitting next to me. I tried to channel what I knew about them and their approach to recording — bringing out the bass here, defining the guitars there — while still respecting what was already there. The aim was never to replace the original, but to reveal more of what was inside it.”

The album also has a personal history for Webb. His brother introduced him to Orgasmatron when he was 14; he identifies it and Rock ’N’ Roll as the MOTÖRHEAD records he grew up with. “That record and Rock ’N’ Roll were my MOTÖRHEAD records, so being asked to work on this is incredibly special to me,” he says.

Originally released in 1986, Orgasmatron featured Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel and Pete Gill. Its music combined hard rock, heavy metal and punk influences, retaining the band’s speed and aggression while moving into heavier territory. ‘Built For Speed,’ ‘Deaf Forever’ and the title track became recurring parts of MOTÖRHEAD’s live repertoire.

The anniversary edition includes the original studio recordings remastered and cut at half speed from the original tapes, alongside Webb’s new remix and remaster from the multitracks. The deluxe 3LP bookpack and 2CD editions feature the remastered original mix, Webb’s remix, studio rehearsals and outtakes recorded in 1985, and the complete BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session from 1986.

A separate 1LP edition on transparent violet vinyl contains the remastered original studio album.
